I so wanted to party with the Nester this year for her 2010 Christmas tour, I’m late of course, but I wanted to show some of my home since it sure isn’t the same as last year! Some of you have already seen these pictures but there are some that haven’t so here I go!
My New Christmas Tree (hoping for a new Camera for Christmas) my prelit beauty!

My bench that I found at a yard sale for $15.00 and painted white…of course.

Above the bench100_3484
Found this vintage snowman at a flea market a while ago, he has a place in the back for a light!
100_3487
Another view of the room. Opps! No picture in the frame that I found at GW yet that’s sitting on the sewing machine, it’s a Hallmark frame!
100_3494
Now on to the kitchen, which I’m not thrilled with just keeping my fingers crossed that they get painted white come spring.

100_3490
Early Christmas present…new fridge:0
100_3491
To dark of a picture but those are silver poinsettias on a small white platter and I added a ruffle to the Target lamp. The little birds are from Kmart on sell for $ 3.99. This is the corner of my kitchen counter, I keep the lamp lit at night.

I hope you liked my little Christmas tour that I put together in at least some semblance of order, I’m still decorating would you believe it, I hope it’s all done by Christmas. At least I have most of the shopping done, all’s that’s left is wrapping the gifts which I do not like to do, I don’t mind one or two but more than five gets to me:)
Stop by to see over 600 beautiful homes all done up for the Christmas season!

My Shining Star & Boring & After Party!

I tried to find a picture of our old fridge but of course I couldn’t, just think small, white with freezer above! Instead of buying gifts for each other this year we decided to get some items that we wanted for our home. We both loved this, it has two freezers below:) Such a shining star to me anyway!

100_3491

Doing Some Christmas Fun

I finally got the nerve to take a hardcover book apart, I found it in the basement and figured I didn’t want it anyhow and it would be put to good use this way, love it!

100_3547

Took the silver tray off the wall by the tree and used it here. The white birds I found at GW for .59 a piece.

100_3550

I hardly ever show this china cabinet, it was Mr.K’s mother’s, I would love to paint it white but my stepdaughter wants it and that’s okay with me. It means I get something that I really would like but this cabinet is sooooo heavy plus it would have to be moved to North Carolina… so I wait, hopefully it goes this summer! Still love my chandy though!

100_3560

I’m using the ornaments my mother had bought for me in different ways this year, I put this white bird in with my snowflake dishes. First time for these dishes to be in there too.

100_3553

Added my teapot too!

100_3558

I found this sparkley snowflake candle at GW this past summer, can’t remember how much it was but I know it was under a dollar and never used…couldn’t resist it!

100_3554

This is showing up a yellow in the photo but it’s really not in person (Dear Santa please remember what I asked for♥)

100_3552

The gravy boat even got some bling this year! My dishes are a mixture, the white ironstone was $15.00 at a yardsale, the gravy boat and saucer from GW and it is Pfaltzgraff but I don’t know what pattern. The snowflake dishes are from The Dollar Store…you see I work there part time and love it, It’s a little crazy there right now with lines like you wouldn’t believe but time there flies by because being a cashier you never stop it’s just one after the other:0 So if you see something that you like by it because it probably won’t be there when you come back, take these snowflake dishes, we had them for two years in a row this year none!

100_3557

I hope you enjoyed looking and I’ll be posting other pictures soon! Thank you to my new followers, I so appreciate you taking the time to stop by and do so!

Baby Pictures

I have always had a battle with my fireplace mantel, it’s 7ft long and oh, I’d say about 7 inches wide plus the plain brown brick is the worst, not my choice BTW! This is the 3rd try and I think I’m going to stick with it. Plus the wood burner which is wonderful in it’s own way, we have had such low, low temps here in Pa. that it has been nice.

100_3517

The wreath I found at Kmart, it’s a Jacqueline Smith wreath and is supposed to look like ice.

100_3521

I hate using the flash but was night out  when I took these photos. I needed something else on there so I decided to bring out the pictures of my granddaughter’s when they were babies and I’m glad I did, I’ve missed them since I had put them away with the other style I had, now I get to enjoy them again♥

A Christmas Tree Party

I’ve been visiting some blogs that have joined the Christmas Tree Party at Thrifty Decor Chick and since I have a new tree this year I wanted to join in the fun.

100_3511

We bought a prelit tree this year and boy did it cut out alot of frustration for me because I’m the one that put the lights on every Christmas. It’s full of silver ornaments, glittery, silver bead garland and a silver bow on top:)

100_3509

I added more silver presents underneath the tree on the white, velvet tree skirt, I’m loven it but I know Mr. K didn’t like the price, I did check at TJMaxx and Marshall’s and their skirts were about that price of $25.00 too:) So now I don’t feel so bad.LOL Not really:)

Thanks for the chance to join in on this party…Merry Christmas!

Dreaming in White

Hello everyone,

I’ve been busy, like all of us here in blogland…decorating for Christmas and working part time has kept me away from here except to read all the great blogs and to get so inspired by everyone one of them! You are all doing such an incredible job on your homes, here’s what I’ve got done so far, hope you like:)

100_3475 the

I bought this tree when I was single after a 25 year marriage, tends to lean to the side(on purpose) a little and at the time it reminded me of me…leaning to the side but still standing!

100_3476

An ornament my mom bought me years ago and I remember thinking “it’s not prim” how did she know it would fit in years later!

100_3482

The chair that I found on the side of the road, wish the other owner could see it now:) I think it looks beautiful, the quilted stocking I’ve had for years!

100_3483

With tons of Christmas decorations in bins I tried to bring out only what I can use, can’t go and buy everything new so I added white or silver ribbon plus greenery.

100_3484.

I used touches of red, because I had to and silver and I’ve had a great time decorating in this style.

100_3490

I have added lights and greenery to my kitchen cabinets for a few years now really pretty at night, now if I could only get rid of the extension cord:)

100_3499

Added some silver pears to my willow branches.

100_3500

My hutch that Mr. K built for me two Christmas’s ago♥

100_3502

The wicker sled was my mom’s and I have it filled with mica snowballs, I think the sled is from the 60’s I remember it being on the diningroom table.

I sure have more photos to show but will save them for the next time and really try hard to be back on here sooner than later.

I’m linking to Kim’s Boring to Better party and Kath’s Faded Charm, have some fun and get alot of Christmas inspiration by stopping at both parties:)
