Bathroom Redo~

So I redid my bathroom…and on a budget I might add! Hubs painted it grey the same as the kitchen and I
love it. It’s so light and airy even without a window which was the norm when building a house in the 80’s
I think!
The shower curtain is from Nate Berkus on clearance for 13.98, I think I did a dance right there in the store.
I was looking for an all white one anyway.  I also picked up a new shower curtain rod because I did need a
new one bad! There you can see a peek of my new cupboard.

Also no more towel rack, just a hook from Anthropology, bought it at least 5 years ago and kept it for
a day like this!

I read this every day,” Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick and pull yourself together”
Elizabeth Taylor!

Wall adornment from Hobby Lobby!

It’s so hard to get pictures in a small bathroom! That’s why I kept putting off doing a post about it… the only storage I had in here was below the sink, not much room at all for what I had to keep in it. I complained/told Hubs that I needed a cupboard and we decided on this one from Home Depot and I
love it! Below the three drawers is a cupboard for towels which are all white ones;)

Threshold Shower Curtain

My bathroom is the easiest and least expensive room to redo so I do it a lot, I think this is the 4th time but who’s counting, it’s fun, right?
The shower curtain is from Target and the Threshold line, I bought it to see if I could handle color, well more color than I’m used to
in my home.

So far so good!

I have a couple pieces of milkglass inside plus more out in another cupboard.

I bought these two pictures on the streets of New York then framed them, frames are from Walmart.

I finally found a place for the mirror that I found a while back, it sort of matches the design in the shower curtain
don’t you think?
I have this room pictured in my mind a lot different but until then this will do!

We had more snow yesterday but not as much as they said we were going to get so I only had to put
the kids on the bus this morning. To keep from going stir crazy I’ve been painting a piece of furniture
hopefully I’ll have it done by Friday.
Have a great rest of the week.

Bathroom Quick Fix

Do you ever get tired of things, I know I do and my bathroom was just not doing it for me anymore. So at Marshall’s one day I decided to buy a new shower curtain, I’m loven gray these days so I looked for one that had gray in it. There is no window in here so it had to be light one, maybe for fall/winter I’ll find a darker one and use that instead.

I  found the black tin container with some pretty good looking faux ivy in it to use up on this cabinet which I found at a fleamarket for $5.00! Yep, couldn’t believe it either when the guy told me that…I think it needs repainted but can’t make up my mind though what color I should paint it. I’ve been reading all about the chalk paint and milk paint that’s out there and I’m really intrigued by it. The price is a lot but they say it goes a long way so it sort of evens it out.

I did spray some Metallic paint on a paper plate and with a small brush I hurried and painted the knobs, had to hurry because it dries real fast on the plate:)

Bought some gray and white hand towels and added the vase of shells!

I love the gray towel hanging there and the faux flowers that I found at Gabe’s for $7.99 also bought a new soap dispenser. This bathroom is so small that to take this picture I had to stand in the tub!

I do still love my sink though! You can see the new wastebasket to there on the left.

You can see the shower curtain a little better here plus the new shower curtain rings!

So there is my quick fix for my bathroom, sometimes you just have to spruce up something to satisfy the decorating/nesting urge we get once in a while don’t you think?

Thanks for taking the time to stop by, I haven’t been around to you lately and I’m sorry about that, I’ve been working and on my days off I’ve been watching the girls so my time and energy is limited.lol Tomorrow we leave for Annapolis, MD. Michael is having an engagement party on the Bay, I hope the weather is good for it. After that we are going to Ocean City, Md. to surprise the girls, they will be there and they don’t know we are coming, so it should be fun!
Here are some wonderful parties I’ll be at, be sure to stop by and get some great inspiration!

Changes in the Bathroom

I love black and white, I think it makes such a statement in a room, so I decided to do a little redo in my bathroom using  black and white in a new shower curtain, I found it at Burlington Coat Factory for only $9.99! In the mirror you can see the cabinet that I had found at the flea market for $5.00 a few years ago, love the zebra storage container on the top that I found at the same place, actually have two bigger ones that go with it. I also added a few pieces of milk glass and a new picture picture frame from Marshall’s!
I love the greenery in there too, the milk glass vase is from GW and the greenery is from Michael’s that was on sale at the time. The hand towels are from the Shabby Chic line at Target, also bought the rug that goes with it but forgot to take a picture of it, it’s white too!

Here’s the top of the cabinet and you can see the silver frame alot better! I have always loved this picture of the grands, they have grown so much since this picture was taken, Samantha on the far right is going to first grade already.

This bathroom is so small, for the very top picture I was standing in the hallway to at least get a good enough picture:0 With this one I’m practically in the tub.LOL

Well, that’s just a little of what I’ve been doing, still deciding what paint color to use for the desk…Oh, the handtowel there is from K-Mart got it on sale!

My Bathroom and GW finds, oh and Also Marshall’s!

Hello everyone! Are you all getting geared up for the 4th of July? I can’t believe it’s already July 1st! I work tomorrow night but Saturday we will be on the boat to go watch fireworks on the river, I hope I remember to take my camera!
I thought I’d show you my main bathroom, it’s a bit overwhelming trying to do each room, do you think I should just stick to one room at a time? Has anyone else went thru this redecorating in a different style?

Here is a close up of my new shower curtain and shower curtain rings… they go so well with the walls and the aqua! Love the little bling it gives!

This is the top of it now, (below) I found the frame at Marshlal’s, it’s a blue ticking, and thought of the picture of my 3 granddaughter’s in the bathtub that was taken at my daughter’s, they are now 8, 6 and 5. The aqua shells I got at Walmart, already had the glass jar!

This too for on the top of the toilet…the aqua cup from GW and also the candle holder!

Sorry for the glare but it’s a small bathroom and so hard to get good pictures in here but this a close up of the picture in the second picture!

Today I took a trip to Goodwill, I haven’t been there for about a week or so and was getting withdrawl symptoms…so this is what I found
a beautiful throw, for $4.00 the colors are pink, crème and green.
100_2937
I found this picture for 1.99 and plan on taking the picture out and spray painting the frame and just using it that way, I’ve seen that on so many blogs out there and just love the idea!
100_2946
I almost forgot…this plate for $2.99 at Marshall’s I love things about Paris♥
100_2939
If it seems like I’m just buying this n that I’m not, I’m following LeAnn’s advice and making it Rondell’s, just buying what I love or need!
I wish everyone of you a very safe and Happy July 4th!
I’ll be back probably Monday…have a wonderful night wherever you are!
