An Eclectic Look

I found this galvanized container at TJMaxx for $3.99 and couldn’t pass it up and “Paris” on the burlap made it even sweeter!

With chalk I wrote a quote about exercising , which I’ve been doing a lot of lately, my son is getting married in June and trying on dresses should be a happy time right?
Really liking this look below…I also put an old grain scoop on top of the books to hide the heat/air return.

I’ve brought out things that I love…


such as this picture I bought in Jamaica 2 years ago.

I only paid $5.00 for it, I bring it out in the spring because it reminds me of warmer weather. Nate says to have things out that you love and it will work, so I’m giving it a try.

We will see how it goes and if he’s right.lol

This is a Lazy Post!

This post ladies is just some pictures that I took and didn’t post or some that I just forgot to add to a post.
I found this planter at Walmart and was surprised when I picked it up, they are so light not heavy at all, as you can see I planted some flowers.

This is the planter I bought at the Dollar Tree and sprayed with nickel spray paint, I have them in the back of the house now, the little bunny I got at Rite Aide for half off only $6.00!
 
The next two are GW finds, the picture was .99 and is a sketch of the chapel at Duke University, love black and white pictures!

I finally found one of these bottles with the cork in it still…$2.99!

I stopped at a moving sale last weekend and got this mirror for $3.00.

Also this…all for $2.00…I don’t know what I’ll do with it yet, looks like it’s for the bathroom.

I have a question, how do I load photos on to live writer from Picasa?  I downloaded Sharper Photo on live writer but don’t know what I’m doing as far as getting it on here. If anyone knows PLEASE leave a comment, I’d so appreciate it!

Sunsets!

Hello, everyone! Did you have a wonderful Mother’s Day? I sure did and I’ll show you what the kids got me in another post soon. Today I’m joining Tracy’s Trinkets and Treasures for the Sunrise, Sunset or Sun Flare Photo Party, stop by to see some great photos!!!
I took these two sunsets while on vacation in Jamaica using the sunset setting, for the first time, on this camera of mine. Someday I hope to get another more powerful lenses for it but I’m still learning and before I put more money out I want to learn everything about this one first!

A Little Bit of Jamaica

So much fun!

Hello everyone, I’m so glad to be back to blogville again! We had a great, wonderful, fun time and it made turning 60 not so bad, in fact I didn’t even think of it all day long!
I’ll show you some pics and let you see for yourself, I’m busy with all that you have to take care of once your back from a week’s vacation, yesterday I washed clothes and it seemed like I did that all day long…the traveling was very exhausting, to get home I changed planes three times!!! We left Jamaica at 7:45 AM and pulled in our driveway at 11:00 PM (we gained an hour) after all the travel time and plane and luggage changing they had lost one of my suitcases containing all my jewelry, dirty clothes, shoes and my Derma Wand…I can’t be without that! so I was a little upset but thank goodness they brought it last evening with everything intact:)

This is where we stayed (Riu) and we passed this Fan Palm everyday, it just fascinated me.

I’m in the middle and on the left is my bff Lynda and on the right is her husband Mike who sat in back of me, in school, from 7th grade on! Great friends!
