Spring Yet?

This is how I am feeling lately…bored so bored that I’m taking pictures of myself, could

be worse I guess. Lol Chambry shirt Marshall’s!

I thought I’d be done with this dresser by now but they sent me the wrong color

of chalkpaint, they sent me white(Everlasting) instead of black (Carbon), now I’m waiting for the black to be delivered.

I’m going to paint the inside o f the top two drawers black and buy two matching baskets

to use to hold movies and any other stuff! I’ll also be using the four drawers for runners and

tablecloths that I have in the bottom of my hutch which will give me more room for dishes in there!

I know…my diningroom again but hey, remember I was bored.

At least I took it from this angle with the afternoon sun streaming in!

I’m keeping the white paint they sent by mistake, there are a few pieces of

furniture I want to repaint especially my white end tables one was my husband’s

mother’s and this one I found at Goodwill.

The basket I bought at Marshall’s finally got filled, I remembered today that I had

some faux red apples in my stash in the basement!

Don’t they look real?

I think they do:)

Can you see my new watermarks on my pictures? I tried different sizes and designs,

I still have to practice more but found it easy to do and not as hard as I thought!

without you I would never try but your tutorials are always easy and doable!

Moving Things Around

Hello all, to those on the east coast… are you tired of snow?

I know I am although we haven’t got it as bad as some.

I know a lot of you are preparing for the Super Bowl forgive

me for not being to excited, I’m a Steeler fan! But I do know

who I want to win and that’s the Seahawk’s!

Now on to more exciting things, I’ve been changing things

around and it sure has given the house and me a little bit

more energy to play!

 

In my livingroom after all the Christsmas stuff was

put away I switched from the red to black and white.

You can see my furry pillow there from Walmart! The

snowball wreath I found at Marshall’s and I left it out

because it sure goes now! I also bought a new lamp at

Target for there on the end table…I’ll show you soon!

 

Now my hutch had all my tureens on top, I think I have six, I

left the bread basket there and moved the tureens to my step

back cupboard!

 

 

I’m pretty sure I have a small tureen to put on top

of those books on the bottom shelf!

 

I always have to move this desk out so I can put our

tree in it’s place and I’ve been thinking of painting it

black.

 

 

I changed the top of it too!

 

I hope your team wins but right now at half time they

are tied!

Fall Love

Hi Everyone, It’s getting colder here…Saturday night down to 37, it just came to fast for me.

I’m in the house today because it’s really windy out and hard rain coming in as the forecaster

says, so I’ve been taking a few pictures of fall around here for you to see!

Since I’m stuck in the house I wanted to see if my fall plates and glasses were okay for the holidays, plus found and washed the napkins.

My centerpiece is from around the house this year also except for the mini pumpkins I got those at Walmart!

Love the glittery pumpkins on the tea cart they seem to shine on the tray!

I’m thinking of painting the hutch a light gray because when the walls in the kitchen

and where my desk is are gray we won’t be painting the livingroom or diningroom…so

I’m thinking that it would be a good idea to do the hutch gray! I do like it white but I

think it’s time for a change.

My son was throwing this rug in his garbage when I stopped him I’ve always loved it and

now it’s in my diningroom!

The hoosier always gets a pumpkin and an old pumpkin pie spice tin!

Hello everyone!

It’s beautiful here in Pennsylvania, the sky couldn’t be more blue and the mums are so pretty, I’m going

to enjoy fall just the same as I enjoyed this summer.

I’ve been exercising ( Turbo Jam ) and walking/jogging watching what I eat plus drinking this:

I chose to drink the chocolate vegan which is so good, it has also

given me energy which I forgot what it was like to have. 

I’m still on my first bag of Shakeology so I’ll let you know my progress

in a couple weeks.

I stopped by Goodwill a couple weeks ago and found this bamboo mirror for

a couple dollars, I don’t know whether to paint it or not so right now I’m

keeping it the way it is.

Here it is in the diningroom, I also found the hanging cornucopia for 1.00 at a yardsale. I forgot to remove the

photo albums on the table, we had company from Vermont last week so they were brought out!

I’ve also been to Michael’s and used a 40% coupon on these metal letters, you can hang them

on the wall or have them stand like I did. I chose the X and O because there weren’t many letters

left.

I finally found this stashed away in a box, I was so happy to find it… I thought

it had got thrown away by mistake.

Now I can’t find the blue pumpkin I painted last year.

I’m also loven black and white♥

Have a wonderful weekend… there is a neat yardsale tomorrow that I’m going

to go to, hope I find something!

Random Things Friday

I hope you are all doing well and are enjoying summer, I know I am, just yesterday I went

to Kennywood with three of my kids and all the grandkids. I had such a good time with

all of them! I took pictures with my iphone and loaded them on here but can’t find them,

when I do I’ll be sure to show you.

I haven’t been doing much as far as decorating goes so I thought I’d show some random

pictures today. Do you remember the basket I bought at the antique fair, this is what I did

with it, it also shows how big the basket really is.

I added some sand and shells to go with the summer season, I think

ironstone and hydrangea’s goes with any season though, don’t you?

Diningroom for the summer!

We had such a late start in the back of the house but I’m thankful for what we could do, this is out

by the pool, my flowers have been doing well this year also!

My Boston ferns are doing good too they are so easy to take care of.

Here’s my two birdhouses and one feeder, I feel bad that I can’t put any birdseed out but the squirrels

just ruin them. They are all from Marshall's and TJMaxx.

I watched this little lady while my daughter and her family were at Disney, it was like having a baby! But what fun

she was so feminine so unlike Buster, who by the way was a little peeved at me and couldn’t wait for her to go home!

Chloe is a bishon/poodle, doesn’t shed but barks to high heaven! Her Mommy picked  her up yesterday., she is such a

good girl and I miss her sleeping by me!

Another thing I did was go to Art. com after I had been to Stacy’s blog,

http://poofingthepillows.blogspot.com/ she had a picture that I loved and I immediately asked where

she got it,

Art.com, so I bought this print, it is made to look like a chalkboard and it was hard to photograph!

I love the little banner on it, I made a New Year’s Resolution to go to the flea market more this

summer, haven’t went yet but I plan on it!

My mantle for now…later on I’ll put sea shells out and some white wicker!

Standing beside the coffee table, I bought the table between the chairs at Khol’s, I like how it’s

open since the diningroom is right behind it. I exchanged the teacart and the white little ladder

from their corners too!

Bar Cart Styling

Hi everyone! Are you cold and tired of the white stuff yet, gee, this is supposed to go

on to next week, right now my iPhone is saying it’s 9 degrees. 

So I’m trying to keep busy inside since I can’t do anything outside.

Here is my diningroom table and entryway a few days ago

Piles of stuff on the table and an empty entryway which I’ll be showing you soon, I’ve been

painting something for in there. First though I want to show you how I styled my bar cart,

they aren’t easy to decorate unless you just wanted to put liquor  and glasses on it.

Here is mine, hopefully I’m going shopping tomorrow if the weather permits and I’ll

be looking for a different lamp to use, somehow I just don’t think the chicken/rooster cuts it.

This is the way I styled it first, using what I had:

So I fiddled with it for a couple days and came up with this:

I wish I’d have thought to roll up and hide that cord…oh well, somewhere around here I have little

clips I bought for something like this.

The little wine plates I bought at the church sale four for a dollar, I didn’t know what I was

going to do with them at the time but they sure came in handy here.

The grainsack wine cover I found at William Sonoma on sale for $4.00 I couldn’t resist.

Old and new wine corks fill a glass footed vase from a wedding.

Wine glasses, milkglass cake plate and pink tulips finish it off.

 

For my chalkboard which I put back in it’s place, I made a cute, little banner from scrap paper

I found at Tuesday Morning.

I’ve been wanting to make one for a while now.
