Yes, Fall is in the Air in Pa.

 

Yesterday I just happened to look out our front window and noticed our huge tree was turning gold, so pretty! Last year it didn’t even turn, the leaves just fell off without changing color. Stush said it was because we didn’t have any rain, well this fall is different!

The weekend was so nice that I even found a yardsale going on! I’ve wanted a squirrel ever since seeing them on a few blogs so when I saw this cute guy I grabbed him up for .25! The chestnuts are from another yardsale from this past spring.

He’s glass so it’s hard to get good pic of him, I just think he’s so cute and the price was right on him too?

My BFF was in NYC and brought me these pictures back so I’m looking for the perfect frames for them, love NYC!

The walls between my kitchen cabinet aren’t done because I just couldn’t decide on what to do with them (plus I’ve been to busy), at Lowe’s I decided to take a look at their beadboard wallpaper…there was only one roll left for $19.99 so I took it as a sign that it was meant for me and that this was the way to go with the kitchen. This stuff is thick is what I noticed first and it does look like beadboard so much, I’ve seen a lot of bloggers using this and it looks great and you can’t even tell it’s not the real deal! Hopefully I’ll get this done for the holidays, gee, Thanksgiving is next month, just can’t believe it! Loven My Kitchen

Hello everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend, ours was busy as usual as I’m sure yours was too! Sounds like everyone is having gorgeous weather too out in blogland!
I wanted to show you one of the ceiling fans that my husband put up, it’s one of the three that we bought.. They are all the same except the one that will go in the livingroom is bigger! Do you like them? So hard to chose out of all of them online but I liked the brushed nickel blades, I didn’t want any wood so these just drew me in, they also have a remote, so neat to move up to the tech world! I also liked how well it went with the light fixture over my sink!

With the light on. We are also going to do the under the cabinet lights.

I took the yelloware bowls down, to me it just doesn’t go or maybe I’m just so tired of them, I think that could be the case.

I finally bought somethings to put in the wire baskets, black and white tea towels from TJMaxx and Marshall’s.

In the other one I put my chicken pitcher and the cutest owl s&p shakers plus these little  bowls, I bought both at either TJMaxx or Marshall’s I forget which!


Gives the room some depth now. My kitchen is still a mess so that’s why there isn’t a full picture of it.


I’ve been thinking of using these colors, I love the green color so much anymore. I got my inspiration from this picture that I’m going to frame from of all places…The Dollar Tree!

This is my kitchen right when I was going to painting the cabinets, I think it’s come a long way!

Also still loving this!

Beadboard on the Bar

 
Hi everyone!  I wanted to show you how the counter bar looks with the beadboard on and painted, I really can’t believe how it is all finally coming together! 

The trim still has to be put on but I’m still loving it! Yes, my kitchen is a mess once again, Mr K had to loosen the old counters because the new ones will be here on the 19th, so somethings had to be taken out of the bottom of the sink and the one next to the dishwasher because out in my garage is a new sink, dishwasher and three ceiling fans all waiting to be put in or put up! Don’t mind the floor, he can be messy at times

While I was watching Nicholas today…check out his bib “Lock Your Daughters Up” cracks me up! I was feeding him his cereal and fruit…..

Don’t mind the truck either it’s a 1993 Ford and it has finally bit the dust, I feel bad because we dated for a long time and I got used to riding around in a truck. lol Anyway, I came home to this, he painted these shelves for me to put….

up here,I wanted open shelves somewhere and this seems like the right place because I could just never get it right,  the clock will be moved up higher and I’ll have fun decorating them! I have a board on Pinterest called Shelf Styling so I’ll be on that getting some neat ideas for the shelves.

Got Some Beadboard UP!

 

Happy Monday everyone!  We got snow yesterday but it didn’t stay so today is sort of a gloomy day. I really am wishing for some green, did I ever tell you that spring is my very favorite season? It is, love the flowers and how everything looks so fresh and clean and mostly so pretty!

Well, yesterday Mr. K worked on the kitchen putting up the beadboard on my kitchen cabinets that I’ve been wanting like forever it seems but now it’s done and looks just like it did in my dreams. As you can see I took these pictures this morning with only one cup of coffee in me and I really did want to throw my camera thur the kitchen window! They can put a man on the moon but can’t make a camera with buttons that say “Take picture of kitchen” and it comes out like a magazine photo. lol This is the left side of where I wanted the beadboard.

A closer view of the left side! In case you are new here I bought the light at Target on clearance for $19.99! Love it when I get a bargain on something I really want! Oh, and the curtains are from Pottery Barn.

The right side! Plus my trim around the window is painted Cottage White!

I think hubby did a wonderful job on it! Now all that is left to do, as far as beadboard goes, is the back bottom part of the bar, it’s all painted and waiting out in the garage

Look at the hinges, they were dark, old brass, still looking good after spraypainting them with nickle paint!

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can put in these? I’d love to hear! The only thing I can think of is tea towels in black and white.

I also wanted to show you my girls night out, the birthday girl is laying across our legs.

That’s champagne in the glasses, horrible stuff I took one sip and that was enough! I want that picture above my head. lol
