Picture Perfect

Hello all!
Do you blog hop? I do, all the time and most of the time I do learn something, love that, keeps the brain going, your never to old to learn something, am I right?
Well, I was blog hopping today and ran across this great informative blog, Life with the Crust Cut Off it was so neat how she showed you step by step how to get great pictures on a  budget. I’ll admit mine at the beginning of my blogging years weren’t to great and going back to look over them (around 2009) was embarrassing but live and learn!  Wanting great pictures I did find PicMonkey and joined after a while the $4.99 a month to be able to use all the neat things it had. Unfortunely, I didn’t know how to use some of the stuff they have on their site, that’s why I’m so happy I found Life with the Crust Off believe me I pinned her blog post to my board Blog Loven so that I can go back and read more, she also shows how to use text and banners, which I’m still not good at but I’ll practice more to get it right. I’m 62 so I haven’t grown up with a computer, closest thing we had to that was an electric typewriter…so I’m so thankful that there are people out there that post about things that we oldens don’t know…it helps us so very much!
Here are some photos of mine that I did on Picmonkey after reading her post…

This picture of the white chair was really hard to fix because it was that bad:) 2009 I found the chair on the side of the road in the early 80’s.

This one is 2008. It was all faded looking but Picmonkey helped at least with color. This is from my prim days.

I took this photo the other evening while sitting at my computer I looked up and saw this pretty sunset, so I went outside to take a picture to share with you. This picture and the one below is with a different camera.

Photography Course at It’s Overflowiing!

Hi bloggy friends! I hope you are enjoying this weekend we did get some snow Thursday night. As I look out my window while doing this post the ground is still covered and it is cold! We went out to dinner last night with friends and I had to get out my heavy winter coat, I guess January is really here now!
I have an Olympus camera which I had really started to hate, none of my pictures were never good, I think there are only a few that turned out good and that was on the nature setting, it does take good pictures of flowers.LOL Not of my home though so when I came to It’s Overflowing last week I immediately thanked God for someone out in blogland who so generously decided to have a photography course on her blog, Finally, I can learn about my camera in terms that I understand, thank you Aimee and her husband who is a photographer btw!
Last Friday we learned about all the buttons and gadgets on our dlsr cameras which some I already knew, I confess I really don’t know what is going on when I press the menu button though but this Friday I learned all about aperture, something I hadn’t a clue about but you see now I do/a little and I’m so excited! These are photos of flowers on my desk in the bedroom, the wall color, when I would take a picture was always an ugly gold, now to me they are fantastic! Here are some pictures I took with different aperture settings! I could only get down to F/4.1, I’m sure I’m doing something wrong but I’ll learn!

{F/4.2}

{F/4.3}
P1141945
{F/4.5

{F/5.0}

These are just a few of the apertures that I did and I’m thrilled with the pictures that I took, it’s great to learn something new!
So stop by Aimee’s blog and learn all about your camera!
I’m joining her Photography Friday Party today!
