Made a Banner and Pepperoni Dip

Hello everyone! Are you having a nice weekend? A little cool here so no swimming or boating but we are going to my bff's cookout! First I want to show you what I made while I made the Pepperoni Dip…which is so darn easy and tastes just wonderful!

TA DA!!!

Isn’t it cute? I just used what I had, the scrap book paper is what I bought on sale for the kids to use that I keep in their special drawer in my hutch and the string is just some gray Bakers string! The chippy window came from my brother-in-law’s parents garage and can I say heavy, wow! Anyway, I had it hung above my potting bench and this year decided to use it on the mantle in stead!

I found these bottles with the seashells on clearance a couple months back and thought they would go well on here for summer!

I moved both bottles on the books, I think it looks better.

I found this sea glass with the shells at Marshall’s… they smell like Lemon Grass!

Now for the pepperoni dip:

Pepperoni… sliced into quarters

Bagels…I use plain ones also sliced into quarters

One can of Crème of mushroom soup

8oz of crème cheese…let soften

Mix altogether and put in glass pan

Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until the sides are brown/gold and bubbly!

I like mine brown/gold and bubblySmile

The bagels are cut in quarters and used to scoop up the pepperoni dip! Your guys will love this…honest!

Yardsales at Pike Days

I do love it when there are so many yardsales that you can’t decide which one to go to first. That’s what it was like last weekend.

Yardsale after Yardsale!

Here’s what I found…

An Ironstone gravy boat, I saw it on a table surrounded by other glassware and picked it up keeping my fingers crossed that it might be ironstone. It’s very used and grazed and I’ve been having fun putting it here and there.

Like here with the old bottles.
yardsale, Pirate game 024
Or here with the tarnished silver plate, btw it only cost me .25, can you believe it?
yardsale, Pirate game 027
For some odd reason I have these four vases, every time I see one I have to get it, I think it’s the little handles on the sides of them that gets me.lol
yardsale, Pirate game 026
I found this one at the estate sale along with the McCoy Pottery'.

I’ve been looking for these type of pictures for a while and got them each for .50 a piece! One is labeled April and the other is July!

I leave you with this pic of my summer vignette for the coffeetable. Ironstone bowl filled with shells from Marshall’s, white wicker tray from a church sale and the blue glass jar with jute on sale at TJMaxx!

Cloche and Something Industrial

Happy Hump Day to you! The weeks seem to be flying by, beautiful weather but we are supposed to get some really bad storms later, hopefully not like OKC, I pray for those people! I’ve never been in a tornado and God willing I  never will but from the news showing the devastation it is mind boggling!
My new cloche!
I’ve used Dollar Tree chocolate, candy candles in it with a DT dolie, plus the cloche itself is from the a yardsale this past weekend.
Cloche 009
It was never taken out of the box.
yardsale, Pirate game 041
Only paid $4.00 for it!
yardsale, Pirate game 042
So cute and petite!
Cloche 008
Thanks for stopping by, always glad you do! I hope your having a wonderful week!
Whoops! I almost forgotSmile I bought this file thingy at an antique mall in N.C. last February and just painted it with Valpar / Polar Star and distressed it!

Chalkboard Paint Backsplash

Did you ever want to try something but didn’t know if it would work out but knew if it didn’t it would be easy to do over?
That’s what I decided to do with the chalkboard paint, I thought why not, I still have the beadboard wallpaper I can use over it if I don’t like it. So here it is…
005
Just fooling around with the chalk

004

Than I got a little fancy with the chalk! I’m not very good with it but I love the look of it!
007

I just threw this up there before I took pictures:)
003
I still have the other side of the kitchen to do but have to wait until Stush tapes it off for me. We also have to get trim for where it ends.

006

This is what it looked like after I had seasoned it.
002
I’m liken it, even my husband likes it too!

Alex Sings at the Hard Rock Cafe

Monday evening Stush and I went to see our granddaughter Alexandra sing and play keyboard at the Hard Rock Cafe , Station Square! Here she is…
Alex sings & Chalkboard 013
She sang a song from the movie Les Miserables and I wish I would have got more pictures of her but I wanted to enjoy the moment with her. To be just 9 years old and have the self confidence to get up on stage to me is an accomplishment in itself!
Alex sings & Chalkboard 012
Alex takes voice and piano lessons…
Alex sings & Chalkboard 011
She was the youngest participant to perform that night.
This young lady sang a Shania Twain song and was very good at it!

Alex sings & Chalkboard 015

He played the drums. All of the students were good and entertaining and the place was packed!
Alex sings & Chalkboard 014
Alex and Nicholas with dad!
Alex sings & Chalkboard 005
With mom too!

Alex sings & Chalkboard 006

Thanks Alex for giving us such a nice evening and watching you soar!
