What I’ve been Up To and My New Ride!

Hi friends! I hope you are all doing well and are enjoying the rest of this summer,
I can’t believe it’s August already and reading blogs have found that some kids
are going back to school already.
I’m trying to enjoy these last weeks too but to say this hasn’t been the best
summer of my life is so very true!
As you know I was discharged from the hospital the beginning of May having
a perforated gallbladder, well last week I rammed head on into a car in front
of me
that had stopped to turn left, I took my eyes off the road for two seconds and
that’s all it took to total my white car! I was taken by ambulance to the same
hospital, I was laying there thinking “I can’t believe I’m here again” oh, and did
I say that I had my granddaughter, Samantha in the car with me? She was fine,
thank God the air bag didn’t go off on the passenger side because she doesn’t weigh
a lot. Yes, every Grammy’s nightmare, we are both bruised from the seat belts and
my right arm was cut and bruised from the air bag, but we are both alive and okay.
We had a rental car… then yesterday we bought this car a Ford Escape which we both
really like, I haven’t driven it yet though…still nervous I guess! Anyway, that’s why I
haven’t been back to blogging and also computer issues, learning how to do everything
on this new laptop with Windows 8 and soon Window 10!
So I think I’ll just randomly share some pictures that I’ve taken over this period of
not being able to blog regularly.

Sorry about the iphone picture of my Hydrangea but I’m so happy with it,
to have it bloom so fast is just amazing to me:)

Shopping at Kohl’s… I did buy the blue ceramic basket!

I shared this Pyrex casserole dish on instagram and a very nice lady who collects Pyrex said
it is called snow garland. It is my son in laws late mothers! After I poked around
more I found a glass lid for it and a smaller version of this one with lid, I
think it is such a pretty blue. I

I have been playing around a bit with my livingroom and actually took all the colored
pillows out and had the room very neutral
But…it just isn’t me, I need color although I do adore the whites/neutrals and you
ladies that have it do it so well. I even moved my little, wood ladder by the sofa for
an end table. I still have it here and seeing if I still like… so far so good!

Well, friends this post has taken me so long to do, learning this tech stuff is so tiring…
my brain is fried with it. I’ll keep on trying though because I’m missing all of you so
much.

A Little Bit of This and That

I’ve had this post saved and just have been busy so I’m going to go ahead and hit publish it without any changes to it, hope
you don’t mind! I don’t have to much to do on my project it’s just getting the time to do it!
Hi everyone, it’s been a busy month for me and probably for you too!
Thanksgiving is next week, our 21# turkey is in the fridge thawing out for
the big day. Until then I’ve been trying not to get overwhelmed/stressed out… just
trying to enjoy the days whether they are spent Christmas shopping or just being at
home. I usually wait until the day after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas
but was getting my fall dishes out of the cabinet when I found these Williams Sonoma
mugs I had found at Goodwill a couple years ago and decided to enjoy them now

I also decided to move my cookbooks from above the fridge to up above my
stove and I couldn’t resist putting a faux poinsettia up there too. Once I put the
lighted garland up there it will really look nice!

iphone 3 018

I have most everything out just waiting to be put in their special places…things
from Target, TJMaxx and Walmart! I’ll get it all put together right after turkey
day, it’s so hard to wait when I see all the great inspiration out there in blogland
and on instagram!

My oldest grandchild Sydney turned 13 this past week… I can’t believe it! We celebrated by
having her friends and family at the bowling alley to bowl and have pizza! I’m so proud
of her she does so well in school and sports.

Here are her friends , they had such a good time, and  it was fun for me just
to sit back and watch Sydney have such a good time!

My Fridays have been taken up by football, my oldest son coaches a highschool team
and they made it to the semi finals , here he is talking to a reporter. I will say that I
froze at every game that we played lately, I don’t do cold very well! Well, the
game before we would play at Heinz Field we lost, he did such an incredible job
with those kids. No matter how old your kids get your heart still hurts when they
hurt!

I’m glad I’m caught up now, I’m decorating for Christmas and I’ll be taking pictures
for you to see!

Lovely Wedding

Well, the wedding is over all the preparations turned out just beautiful and everyone had such a good time! Took me a couple days to recoup, the weather was in one word…hot!!!
I now have three married, my youngest is the only one left and he’s 33!
Here are some pictures I took for you to see in no particular order, I didn’t take any of the ceremony because I just wanted to hear their vows said, it was held outside and I could hear them perfectly. The reception was held in a barn nestled beside old historic homes

I’ve also did the pictures with Picmonkey so that Corrie could see the different things that you can do with your pictures when you use it.

Happy Father’s Day, Dad!

They say I look like my dad, I have his brown eyes and had the dark hair. So many years have gone by since I last heard your voice and it’s also been a lot of years since I said the word Dad or Mom to each of you and I so miss that.

Alex Sings at the Hard Rock Cafe

Monday evening Stush and I went to see our granddaughter Alexandra sing and play keyboard at the Hard Rock Cafe , Station Square! Here she is…
Alex sings & Chalkboard 013
She sang a song from the movie Les Miserables and I wish I would have got more pictures of her but I wanted to enjoy the moment with her. To be just 9 years old and have the self confidence to get up on stage to me is an accomplishment in itself!
Alex sings & Chalkboard 012
Alex takes voice and piano lessons…

She was the youngest participant to perform that night.
This young lady sang a Shania Twain song and was very good at it!

Happy Mother’s Day

I hope you are having a wonderful one, in a short while we will be going to my daughter’s for dinner. Next Sunday we are celebrating Mother’s Day at a Pirate Game in Pittsburgh, we will be in a box so if the weather is chilly like it is today, it won’t be to bad. My brother and sister-in-law will be there plus the kids and grandchildren so it should be a happy time for us!

Wedding shower! 022
Happy Mother’s Day to all you bloggers that stop by my blog, as I’ve said before I always appreciate itSmile If your mom is still with you give her a hug, mines been gone for almost 12 years, but I still remember everything about her and think of her everyday!

Samantha’s Day

It has taken me since Friday to do this post!
Do you find your days getting busier and busier since the weather is getting warmer and I must say prettier? Mine are… every weekend is either shopping (for a dress for the wedding, wish I would find one already, I found shoes that are dressy but comfortable which is really rare so now I have to find a dress to match the shoes!!!) or parties for communions or graduations or wedding showers! This weekend is shopping and a communion party for my great nephew! Really crazy! Last weekend was Samantha’s first Holy Communion…plus her 8th birthday but we celebrated her birthday the week before…see how crazy!
