Fall Vignettes

Hey, tomorrow is Friday and the start of the weekend, football game Friday night

Here is my entrance to the diningroom/livingroom, I like the mirrors here from Target, they
were in my bedroom but I brought them out here and they fit perfectly!

My owl planter from Walmart from a few years ago, this year I added some leaves.

See the white vases in my hutch? They are now all sitting on top
of my gray chest of drawers, I’ve seen that in a couple homes and
always wanted to try it! I moved furniture around in my bedroom
so I’ll have to take some pictures for you!

My coffee table with the lantern from Target and the ceramic leaf
that I found at a yardsale for $3.00, I almost sold it last year but
decided to hang on to it, I like the white pumpkins on it.

My livingroom, the little pumpkins I got at TJMaxx and the galvanized container
I found at Goodwill. The basket on the hearth with the birch logs in it I found at
a church sale and painted gray!

A Little Bit of Fall

Hello everyone! I’m so happy, I’ve finally learned how to load and post pictures from
my iphone onto windows 10…how did I do it? What I should have did in the first
place… Googled it! At least two months of this and what I’m surprised at is  my son
not doing it. Oh well, I’m just glad that I’ll be able to get back into blogging again, I’ve
missed everyone and all of the parties that I wasn’t able to join in, now I’ll be joining
in on all the Friday ones today!
These pictures were taken with my phone and at night so please bare with me!
I have this cloche on my desk in the livingroom, doesn’t the pumpkin look real? Wish I
could remember where I bought it!
IMG_1827
I have painted a few things on my bloggy break such as the little cupboard from Michael’s that
I had painted black and the child’s chair that I got from the curb! Now I have a fall pillow on it!
See my new knob from Hobby Lobby on the cupboard, I can’t stay out of that store.lol

Here is a closer look at the pitcher.
IMG_1815

I printed this I think last year so I forget who I got it from, let me know it is you ok? It is sitting
on my kitchen shelf with my .50  glass squirrel from Avon!

IMG_1814
My mantel, funny how I do it different each year but with the same “stuff”
do you do the same thing or buy new?
IMG_1825

Okay guys, I took more pictures so I’ll be sharing those soon…now here are parties I’ll be joining, It’s so
good to be back!

Yardsale, Boating and Swimming

Did you ever go to an amazing yardsale? I did a few weeks ago, everything priced right
and new…you see the lady who had the sale was a manager of Penny’s and when the
Penny’s closed where she worked everything was on sell super cheap. I guess she bought a lot
because everything had a price tag still on it. I do wish I would have bought the lantern
type candle holders in the front there but I didn’t=)
iphone phoroa 043
I bought to much jewelry but the price was to fantastic to pass up!
iphone phoroa 042
Now the clothes were a dollar a piece a lot of small sizes but I managed to find
a few that fit and was thrilled when I found one item that I’ve looked for all last
winter…I’ll show you in my next post.
iphone phoroa 044
I’ve been wanting one of these for Buster for a while now but didn’t want to pay
the price for one. I bought it for $5.00, couldn’t believe it, still in great condition!
Buster can eat comfortably now, it also cut down on a lot of mess from the dog
bowls.
iphone phoroa 045
She also had a duck, not for sale though, he was swimming in a kiddy pool.
The lady said he was going to a farm that weekend because it was getting
to be to much.
iphone phoroa 041
We have also been boating a lot this summer, last Sunday we were on the water all day,
the weather was beautiful.
iphone phoroa 040
Also had a great 4th of July this year, all my kids were here and the grandkids
for the holiday. My oldest grandchild Sydney, she has had the braces on for
over a month!
iphone phoroa 034
This one is so much fun, he isn’t afraid of anything! He loves the water and loves to
jump in even off the diving board, here he is with his mom and dad.
iphone phoroa 049
I’ve been babysitting a lot so far, here he is going down the slide as
you can see he loves Batman
iphone phoroa 004
Well, that’s what I’ve been doing since my last post, as I said before I promised myself
that I would enjoy this summer, the grands are growing up so fast and I do want to
be with them.

Friday and Saturday Finds

A week ago Friday I went to my hairdresser’s and across the street is a consignment shop with some pretty high
end things inside.
I try and pop in there once a month on the same day as my hair appointment, I love looking at all the “stuff” for
sale there, furniture, linen, pictures, mirrors, centerpieces, dishes and other things all in good condition and marked for sale.
That day I found a brass candlestick and on the bottom was the mark of the name Party Lite! The candle was
included and I paid $3.00 for it, I know I got a good deal on it because I’ve been to a few Party Lite parties
and their prices are really up there but I must say good quality. I knew it would look good with my other candlesticks.
Here are five of them grouped together on my coffee table.

I also found this Italian made accent mirror that is hand carved for $6.00. It goes well with my
picture gallery wall in the diningroom.

The following Saturday I stopped in a thrift store called Hidden Treasures, that I had never been to before a really nice one,
everything all separated nicely and marked, it makes shopping so much easier doesn’t it when it’s taken
care of that way?
The Party Lite one is in the middle with the candle and the two I found at the thrift store are on each side of it.
The one on the left is brass and copper and heavy the other one on the right is all brass and both were marked
$2.00 a piece but it was 50% off everything in the store that day so I got them $2.00 for both. I love getting
deals like that sometimes!
finds 002
I also found some black covered books that were $1.00 a piece but since it was 50% off  I got them for .50
a piece!
finds 007
That’s it, not much I know but I’ve been just enjoying being outdoors again, planting flowers in pots and my
flower boxes! I do the flower boxes different every year, last year was purple petunias this year a mixture
of everything, I seem to like that the best!

Yard Sale over the Weekend

Hello everyone!
I hope you are all doing well and enjoying these last days of summer,
I can’t believe how fast it went by, my granddaughters go back to school
next week already.
Over this past weekend I joined a friend at her home for a 3 day yard sale, they
are such hard work aren’t they? Especially when you have to transfer your junk
over to a different place, Paula’s sister-in-law and daughter Becca were there selling too,
so there were the four of us. We did really well, here is my pile before going in the car.

I’m glad it’s over though…I was in bed at 10 every night!
I did find somethings to buy and I think I got some great deals.
Becca had some neat things on her table…
such as these three Clarins products that she
bought but never used, about $70.00 in product, I know I used to sell it. Becca sold it to me for,get
this…$5.00, so if you see me with my boobs up
under my chin you will surely know that they work! Ha!
paula's yard sale 008
A pillow for a $1.00 from the SIL, it sort of reminded me of a Pottery Barn one. I love the little lobster down in the right hand corner.
paula's yard sale 006
$5.00 is all Becca asked for these barely worn Skechers I’ve always wanted
a pair to run to the store or to get gas…love them!

Anyone have a yardsale this year? How did it go? I would love to hear about it.

Thanks so much for stopping by oh, and I haven’t forgot about my giveaway either, I’ll have it after the kids are all back in school…okay?

Planters

I’ve been so busy with the wedding, it’s this Saturday and I can’t believe it’s actually almost here. Everything has gone great except for having a dress that is so hard to match with shoes! I swear I’ve had 3 pair of shoes so far that haven’t matched. I finally found a pair at Macy’s, more than I wanted to pay but at this point in time I don’t care:) At the end of this post I’ll show you what I have been working on for the wedding.
Now for the planters:
My window boxes…I found the two at a yardsale for $2.00 for both but I really do think this is the last year for them…Stush so has to make new ones for next year! Don’t you love the flowers? I found them at Pike Days and they were only $2.75 a bunch.
plannters and ball jars 004
The 3 pots in the front are from a yardsale 3 for .75, love the pink ones.

plannters and ball jars 003
Here’s my Little Piece of Heaven as I call it, as I’ve said before the clematis only blooms in the spring, I so wish it bloomed all summer too because it is so pretty!

010
I found this coca cola crate at a yardsale for $5.00.

007

Found the cowboy boots at a yardsale too and put some succulents in them. Cute!

I’ve been busy painting these Ball Jars for the wedding…neat huh? Paint color is Blue Bahamas!

My Friday Finds

I’m keeping my promise to myself to go to as many yardsales as I can this summer but have found out I like the community ones the best don’t you?
Here’s what I’ve found:
I’ve fallen in love with the baseball in a jar look so far I have four, two I found at a yardsale, one I found and I can’t remember about the other one. Just have to find more to fill up a big pickle jar!
washstand and online pics 010

Really cute don’t you think? A little chicken on this pitcher the price was to good to leave her there!
washstand and online pics 008
Wuthering Heights, I’ve never read it so for .25 I bought it to try!
washstand and online pics 009
I also found a new piece of pottery, at first I thought it was a McCoy but when I turned it over I saw this…
washstand and online pics 007
It’s by Cookson and there are some being sold on Ebay, anyway I loved the color gray and the design.

Here is my favorite, a pair of little cowboy boots for $2.00 as a planter and the lady, who was so nice, gave me the succulents out of her yard for free!

cowboy planter 001
I just used a razor to put a slit in the cowboy boot and stuck the plant right in there!

Yardsales at Pike Days

I do love it when there are so many yardsales that you can’t decide which one to go to first. That’s what it was like last weekend.
yardsale, Pirate game 003
Yardsale after Yardsale!
yardsale, Pirate game 002
Here’s what I found…
yardsale, Pirate game 022

An Ironstone gravy boat, I saw it on a table surrounded by other glassware and picked it up keeping my fingers crossed that it might be ironstone. It’s very used and grazed and I’ve been having fun putting it here and there.
yardsale, Pirate game 023
Like here with the old bottles.
yardsale, Pirate game 024
Or here with the tarnished silver plate, btw it only cost me .25, can you believe it?
yardsale, Pirate game 027
For some odd reason I have these four vases, every time I see one I have to get it, I think it’s the little handles on the sides of them that gets me.lol
yardsale, Pirate game 026
I found this one at the estate sale along with the McCoy Pottery'.

yardsale, Pirate game 025

I’ve been looking for these type of pictures for a while and got them each for .50 a piece! One is labeled April and the other is July!
yardsale, Pirate game 038
I leave you with this pic of my summer vignette for the coffeetable. Ironstone bowl filled with shells from Marshall’s, white wicker tray from a church sale and the blue glass jar with jute on sale at TJMaxx!
