Picture Perfect
Hello all!
Do you blog hop? I do, all the time and most of the time I do learn something, love that, keeps the brain going, your never to old to learn something, am I right?
Well, I was blog hopping today and ran across this great informative blog, Life with the Crust Cut Off it was so neat how she showed you step by step how to get great pictures on a budget. I’ll admit mine at the beginning of my blogging years weren’t to great and going back to look over them (around 2009) was embarrassing but live and learn! Wanting great pictures I did find PicMonkey and joined after a while the $4.99 a month to be able to use all the neat things it had. Unfortunely, I didn’t know how to use some of the stuff they have on their site, that’s why I’m so happy I found Life with the Crust Off believe me I pinned her blog post to my board Blog Loven so that I can go back and read more, she also shows how to use text and banners, which I’m still not good at but I’ll practice more to get it right. I’m 62 so I haven’t grown up with a computer, closest thing we had to that was an electric typewriter…so I’m so thankful that there are people out there that post about things that we oldens don’t know…it helps us so very much!
Here are some photos of mine that I did on Picmonkey after reading her post…
This picture of the white chair was really hard to fix because it was that bad:) 2009 I found the chair on the side of the road in the early 80’s.
I took this photo the other evening while sitting at my computer I looked up and saw this pretty sunset, so I went outside to take a picture to share with you. This picture and the one below is with a different camera.
This one was taken thur the window, I have these petunias in my flower boxes. I hate to see them go with summer coming to an end.
We are having beautiful fall like days here in Pa, how has your weather been?
I’m so glad you stopped by! Glad to see new followers too, Welcome!

Yard Sale over the Weekend
Hello everyone!
I hope you are all doing well and enjoying these last days of summer,
I can’t believe how fast it went by, my granddaughters go back to school
next week already.
Over this past weekend I joined a friend at her home for a 3 day yard sale, they
are such hard work aren’t they? Especially when you have to transfer your junk
over to a different place, Paula’s sister-in-law and daughter Becca were there selling too,
so there were the four of us. We did really well, here is my pile before going in the car.
I’m glad it’s over though…I was in bed at 10 every night!
I did find somethings to buy and I think I got some great deals.
Becca had some neat things on her table…
such as these three Clarins products that she
bought but never used, about $70.00 in product, I know I used to sell it. Becca sold it to me for,get
this…$5.00, so if you see me with my boobs up
under my chin you will surely know that they work! Ha!
A pillow for a $1.00 from the SIL, it sort of reminded me of a Pottery Barn one. I love the little lobster down in the right hand corner.
$5.00 is all Becca asked for these barely worn Skechers I’ve always wanted
a pair to run to the store or to get gas…love them!
Anyone have a yardsale this year? How did it go? I would love to hear about it.
I’ll be joining:
Thanks so much for stopping by oh, and I haven’t forgot about my giveaway either, I’ll have it after the kids are all back in school…okay?

Chalkboard Backsplash on the Other Side
Hello! I hope you are having a good day!
I wanted to show you the other side of my kitchen, this is on the side where the fridge is plus where it says “eat” that’s where the door is going out to the garage from the kitchen a door that we use often. I finally finished this side with chalkboard paint, I love it and the kids get a kick out of writing on it too. Oh, the breadboard I have had for years, found it at a fleamarket and the milk glass cake plate I found at Goodwill for about $2 something.
I think we need to get some cookies in the first jar they don’t last long around here with my husband.
I know some people aren’t a fan of it but ever since I saw MMS’s kitchen in her book Inspired You I have wanted to try it, when I get tired of it I can always put subway tile over top of it or I still have the roll of beadboard wallpaper to use.
Stush took off the trim on the side of the door so I could paint, I have to get it put back on tomorrow and we still have to buy trim for the chalkboard paint.
Do you know what I like about it the most? It was so darn cheap to do, 3 coats each side and the Valspar paint was just $14.99.
My hubby’s garage doesn’t look good thur the door but for summer I liked these valances from Lowes so I would have more light in the kitchen.
