A Sneak Peek and a Thanks!

I thought you would like to have a peek at what I’ve been up to these past two weeks…It’s finally getting there, I really can’t believe it, sometimes I’ll walk in the room and just stand there staring at what I did, not really believing that I did something like that. There were times that I would say to myself while painting  “It doesn’t have to be perfect to be beautiful” thanks Nester  for giving me the confidence to attempt a BIG piece of furniture, if your a newbie at blogging you just have to stop over at her blog…I did even when my style was prim!

I’ve also been playing with my camera and discovered a setting called “pin point” neat huh? I just wish I knew how to take the glare out of glass on pictures. I did take the advice from two comments I had  Debbie @ Lakeside and Michelle @ Shells Shabby Shack, that I had about what to color to paint the frames and they both suggested the same shade as the hutch. So I gave it a try and love it, thanks you guys! Oh, and stop by their blogs, I love them and they are both on my bloglist, I never want to miss what they post!

Another idea I just loved was Kindra’s @ At Home With K(stop by she is a wiz at all she does) she and her husband did two bookcases and I loved the look. I bought mine at Target and Mr. K added the trim at the very top of mine( of course he didn’t get the exact trim that I wanted but I’ll live:) anyway it finished it off and gave it more of a expensive look! I still have to shop my home for to finish the first two shelves.

I do love this shelf though, that’s the frame I got at GW,  the shell and bottle are from Marshall’s.

Another pic, yes, those are lights in my hutch and I love them, I think it will look neat when it’s all filled with dishes and wine glasses. It’s also still pulled out from the wall:0

I want to take the time to thank ALL of my new followers and the ones who have been following too, you have ALL made me smile every morning when I sit down with my cup of coffee.  Thanks for inviting me into your homes and sharing your ideas that I love and copy /try to do, I think that’s the highest form of a compliment, case in point, my bff did her hair like mine and asked me if I minded, my answer was… “ No, life is to short to be mad about something like that, actually I’m flattered” later on that night the waitress asked if we were sisters.LOL What fun I would have missed if I had got upset about it:)
Well, I’m off to Lowes for hardware and Dollar Tree to make bags for Valentines Day for the granddaughter’s.
Have a happy day wherever you are!
