My New Burlap Runner and Rooster Pillow!

Yes, I’m getting on the band wagon with the roosters and chickens, they are all over blog land and I just can’t help myself! Once I get the kitchen cabinets painted white I’m taking down the platters and plates above them and I’ll put some roosters and chickens up there with some white pitchers, I think anyway!

I haven’t posted for almost two weeks but have kept up a little with reading your blogs and one day last week I read Tracey’s blog Raggy Girl Vintage where she posted that she was having free shipping on her burlap runners! So I hopped on over to her etsy shop Raggy Girl and just fell in love with everything she makes and I just couldn’t resist the rooster pillow cover either! Isn’t he the cutest? Love it, you can imagine how excited I am to start collecting something again. The eggs there are antique wooden ones, the white one was used to fool the chicken into laying eggs, at least that’s what the guy said when I bought them!

The burlap runner is gorgeous, I’m getting a thing for runners too I guess but I’ve always wanted one and when Tracey had the free shipping I thought why not!!! Here it is!

Another view of it! You can also see where I hung the mirror that I found at the fleamarket for $3.00 I might add! I need something on the other side of the bookcase maybe black and white prints or family photos framed in white or black!

Here’s a close up of the ruffle that Tracey does! She ships fast too ladies!

Here is another look at the pillow!

I haven’t been to any linky parties for it seems so long so I’m excited to get back into having fun at them, I sure have missed them! Thanks so much ladies!

The pillow is so cute. I have to laugh because the minute I saw it I thought, Oh no, Debbie might want to steal that! lol And sure enough, I see her post above mine telling you it may come up missing!! :D

I love the runner! I have often looked at them on etsy. I may have to buy one now that I've seen it on your table & it looks so great.

Love the pillow and the runner!! I got some burlap to make me a runner, but haven't taken the time to make it yet.
I got a ceramic cookie jar today at Target that looks like burlap with some french words on it...but the only word I can read is cookie. LOL... I love that it sort of looks like a crock with a lid and it looks great with my country cottage decorating.
Have a great week.

Thanks for the shout-out Rondell!! You did an awesome job of displaying the pillow and runner in your lovely home. You could also try the runner width ways across your table for a different look.
Have a fab week!

I'm glad you got a couple of new things. Always makes a girl feel better. :o) The burlap runner is lovely. I have tried to sew with burlap but I find it a challenge. I'm going to keep trying though.
