What’s With the Numbers?

I finally found the vinyl numbers and letters at Walmart, I’m not very good at free handing them with paint so these look alot better than what I would be able to do. I like them on the seat of the chair in my entryway, my daughter saw them and asked “ what’s with the numbers ?” LOL!

The old basket in the corner holds old ticking pillows!

I hung this shutter that I found years ago at a yard sale for $3.00, it’s an old wooden one and I’ll never forget there were about four other ones but I only had enough money left to buy one! It was black and I painted it white…this is also in my entryway to the left of the suitcase.

I don’t know if I’ll keep this wicker antique youth chair below the shutter or not, I found it for $10.00 at the flea market in the 80’s I think.

Well, that’s what I’ve been up to around here, I know it’s been a whole week since I’ve posted but summer, work and watching the “girls” have got in the way, I think we have all been busy though♥
I did get to go to a Pottery Barn store last weekend so I’ll be posting about that soon!
Right now I’m going to link this to Suzanne’s Meridian Road “Private Party” and Faded Charm’s White Wednesday sorry I’m late in doing this but better late than never!
Have a wonderful night wherever you are!

The numbers look nice. I'm not too good at freehand either. I slept on an old ticking pillow when I was a child. I loved it.

I like the numbers too! It just adds a little somethin, somethin to vintage chairs.

That's a great idea to hang the shutter on the wall. And that little child chair is so sweet.

Hi Rondell! Just wanted to pop in to say hello. Your changes look great! I can still see a touch of prim! Please don't panic, I mean that in a good way. :o)
Since you are painting things white, why not pain the wicker chair too? I think that's an awesome piece to have!
By the way, since those ticking pillows are prim, you can just send them to me! LOL! Seriously, they look great right where they are.
Take care sweet friend!

Hi Rondell,

I love that wicker youth chair. It's fabulous. I saw a green wicker high chair at a garage sale and they wanted $150.00 for it. You got a steal! I'm glad you are having so much fun reinventing your style.

Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment on my An Affair to Remember post. I, too, love Bette Davis. She's my favorite actress. I think she was fabulous and nearly always gave an Oscar-worthy performance.

I LOVE your shutter. I am really into shutters, and yours is beautiful. What a lovely touch to your decorating.

Have a lovely day,
Patti

Rondell, I'm just finishing up the last entries to Suzanne's party. Love what you did in your entry. I think the placement of that fun youth chair is just fine where it is. Would you consider placing some greenery (how about what's on the floor?) on the seat w/your other items to brighten it up a little more? I need vinyl letters and numbers too- my painting skills are NIL!! I'm off to check out old posts of yours. Nice to meet you via this party.

Came back to say I had fun looking at older posts. I can see that you like to go thrift shopping, as many of us do. :-)
When the sales drop off in the fall, I go through a withdrawal and have to find auctions to stave off my addiction!
Have a great week ahead.
