Or as Mr. K would say “Shabby Sheick”… gotta love him!
I finally got them up today, the windows are all open and the AC is off and it’s a beautiful day! I love them, so what do you think? I just wish I had a better more expensive camera, the walls look like a pale yellow but the paint color is called Buff.
Here is what it looked like before the shabby bug bit me, I don’t miss it though, that’s how I know it was time for a change.
The chair I had found along the road years ago and had it stained and I had also given to my daughter, since she wasn’t using it and was in her garage I knew it was destined to be painted white.
Here it is distressed and the pillow I found brand new at a yardsale for $3.00 it’s black ticking!
Now I’d like your opinion…I only used one panel where ever I put the curtains, do you think I should use two? I just don’t want a drapey look I still want to be able to view the outside. This is one set of doors on the left side of the fireplace…
In the picture below, door is on the left of the picture and the window on the right is where my diningroom table is, so you see I don’t want a wall of curtains, if you know what I mean. The doors only open on the side without the panel. I hope I haven’t totally confused you.LOL
I couldn’t resist showing the chandy again, the computer in the corner is my Mr. K’s he wants a roll top desk for the bedroom so that hopefully will be out of the corner someday, my lap top is on the table. My dream is to paint the Hoosier white and put the laptop on there, the thought of painting it is tiring though but it needs to be done.

I like the curtains! I think it's up to you whether you use one or two panels. I'd probably use two, but I'm kind of obsessive about symmetry, so that doesn't mean much. :)
I'm always amazed at the really cool things people find on the side of the road. That chair is so pretty!
Hi Rondell!
I really like how your shabby chic room is looking. I like the simplicity of your sheers and wouldn't add more. Your windows are so pretty and they deserve to be seen.
Love that chandelier!

Wow-it looks great-happy WW
love that chair and pillow! happy day!
I love the transformation,Rondell! I was oohing and aahing over you desk, chair and plates. :)
I love the look of sheers! Simply sheers I say! If it were me, i'd go with the two sheers theory just 'cause. And over the small wall space between the door and window, heck, I'd even sheer that just to keep it interesting and uniform. but that is just me. In real life it might not be quiet so Right, but I'm just thinking out loud 'cause I used to watch Christopher Lowell and love his work back in the day ;)) I know that whatever you do, It will be stunning and so you which is perfect enough!

That chair is beautiful!
Everything is looking great! Love the sewing cabinet painted white. I like the one panel...looks very simple and pretty.

Love your curtains.I did the same thing... hung one panel on each side of my sliding doors because I didn't want to block the view. The chair looks so cute and has such gorgeous detail.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and following. I am following you back and can't wait to see what you do with the hoosier.
I think what you have done is perfect..one panel is good for me!
Thank you for your visit to my blog and for you sweet comment...

What a yummy chandelier!
Everything is looking splendid.... So cheery.
Warm blessings,

This is a fablous B&A. It looks so much fresher and brighter. I like the panels as they are. I know what you mean about the camera that is why almost all my photos are outside. Or I drag small objects into my sunny window. The chandy is beautiful.I would put one in every room but we need ceiling fans. hugs♥olive
So pretty! I always love ticking fabric, and the trim paint is so lovely, too!
The white sheers look wonderful. It's hard to say if one or two would look better. It looks great as is. Live with it for a while, and you'll know.
The chair turned out beautifully and I LOVE your chandelier!

Hi Rondell, I love the transition you've made, the sheers are so pretty and really show off that great view you have! The chair and ticking pillow is just wonderful, love the whole look, and that chandy really tops it all off! Thanks so much for joining in,

Wow Rondell! this all looks wonderful! LOVE all the changes you've made. The chandy is gorgeous!

So much fun to change things out. Painting is a big job, I hate the prep work, but it's such a big bang for the buck, almost instant gratification.
If you're wondering whether to add another panel, try putting both panels that you already have on one rod. That way you can decide if you'd like a richer look or if there's too much fabric covering the view.
Good luck,
Susanne.
I love it, that shabby look just kind of creeps up on you! I can't believe you found that chair at the side of the road!! Thank you for stopping by. OOP's I like the curtains just the way they are.
