When Dollar Tree first started putting out their fall items I picked up a package of paper crows, I figured I could do something with them when I started my fall decorating. Of course I forgot about them as I was decorating, until the other day…I think they are so neat!
Here is my fall mantel, I added a little more to it besides the crows, the one sitting in the berry garland is a feathered one from JoAnn’s!
I even put them in the long window in the entryway, there’s is alot that come in the package!
I had one left after I was done so I decided to put one here, also in the entryway!
After, I did notice that on the package they called them Ravens and all this time I was calling them crows, so I Googled it and here is what was said about it.
They are two different birds but come from the same family, a raven weighs about four times of that of a crow. The raven wing span is about 3.5-4ft where a crow’s is 2.5ft. Crows average about 17 inches long while ravens are 24 to 27 long. There is alot more said but I won’t bore you with it!
So I think I’ll just call them crows and be done with it!
I hope your having a wonderful, restful and peaceful Sunday!

Whatever they are they look great. I may have to run to the dollar store and pick up a pack. I love the look!
Rondell- And my kids call me an old crow!;>) I think I should be a Raven..bigger and more dignified. Love yours and what you did with them! xo Diana
The crows look really cute all over your house! Not scary or Halloweenish!! I didn't know there was a difference between ravens and crows. Now where do mynah birds fall in? My husband says they are related to crows and that crows can talk. I'll have to google that!!
Happy Sunday, Rondell!
XO,
Janie
I love them all over the mirror that is very cute! Sounds like you really got a good deal on them. I call them crows too! ;)
I call them crows too. They look very cute in your fall decor.

The crows look great! I think they look fantastic on the window in your entryway...kinds of like an "enter if you dare". :D
Your mantel also looks great. I love how you laid the garland/berries. I could not get mine to look right when I tried it, so I gave up on it!
I hung some crows up too today Rondell. I love your Fall home, looking so good!
I love the blackbirds...they make such an incredible impact they make...I am a new follower
The crows look great!! I might have to stop by our DT and pick some up. They would look good in my old windows that hang above the fireplace in our living room.
I have always called them crows...calling them Ravens is too Edgar Allen Poeish! I love the dollar store...and they always have so many neat decorating items. I need to stop by soon so that I can start decorating for Fall!
Have a great week Rondell~

LOL rondell, they look like crows to me! They look cute in your house.
I went to three places this weekend looking for Ravens or Crows or whatever you call them. I couldn't find any! I'm actually looking for birds though- I think I'll just end up painting some colorful little ones that I picked up. Your paper ones look cute and kind of creepy :)
Very creative use of the crows. They're a nice contrast.
Well, I learned something new! I didn't know ravens were that much larger. We had what I guess you'd call a murder of crows in the trees behind our house a few days ago. They're really noisy!
Your paper ravens look really cute!
Crows, ravens....either way, they are great. I also bought a package of them at the dollar tree along with the bats and spiders. How can you go wrong with 15 in a package. My kids are having a ball sticking them all over the house. I love them all over your mirror.
Marianne :)
either way, they are a great addition!
