Home from Vermont

We are home and what a great trip we had, we drove to Burlington,  Vermont and had Buster with us who
travels well, he likes the car so it was easy having him in the back seat!
They told us we missed the peak of the leaves by a week but it couldn’t be helped because we
were going there for my sister-in-law’s surprise birthday and didn’t have a choice.
I did take pictures with my iPhone as much as I could plus tried to see the sights myself, so
here we go:
This is across from our nieces house where we stayed, notice all the evergreens!

Another home to the right of her place!

It seemed like a lot of people decorated around their mailboxes
on this street!

I was pretty amazed at the look of this Goodwill… a lot of people there too, I scooped up
some Halloween decorations they looked brand new, they had everything! As you can
see Burlington is a really nice place. I asked where their Target was and they told me they
don’t have them there because on there businesses the signs are to be very small no big blingy ones
high up in the air, so Target said “no way” I was a little disappointed!  I saw a Lowe’s sign and
if I hadn’t really looked I would have never seen it, it was really strange oh, and you should
have seen McDonald’s arches,  they were maybe as high as my shoulder!

Saturday  night was surprise party so during the day we drove to Stowe Mountains,
you can see the neat General Store they had, but expensive!

On the side of the store!

The church was beautiful, to bad about the wires!

To the left you can see the drug store!

I have more photos to show so they will be in my next post!
Glad to be back blogging, oh, and don’t forget to vote!

Those are really great photos all the way around. I have been to several little towns with those guidelines in place about signs. It does make it hard to find places sometimes. Cute little general store! xoDiana

i would love to visit that area some day.....the sign thing reminded me of hilton head SC.....they have no signs up in the air....all low to the ground and small....with lots of greenery.....so its hard to find your way around....but i loved that it look so nice to not see all that commercialism....hope to see more blogging from you...i miss it when you are away....

How pretty! You know we are from the southwest part of the country so I love to visit the east and I love to see pictures. Nothing like that here at all! The trees are so pretty and I love the little towns and villages.
