♥Christmas Teapots♥

About 9 years ago I worked at Kaufmann’s, a department store that is no more due to bankruptcy. I think they had been in business for over 75 years. I worked there for about 5 years selling everything from clothes to cosmetics, cosmetics was my favorite and did that for about 3 of those years! Working there had it’s perks 20% off of purchases, knowing when things were going to be on sale and getting them dirt cheap, I really miss that:) These teapots are by Debbie Mum and I did get to buy three of them, I don’t think I put them out last year but since I just went ahead and did my hutch this year even though I’m not crazy about it, I thought they would look good with the snowflake dishes.

I love the little, tiny dots for his eyes and is checkered pockets!

I’ve never found more again, when I bring them out they always make me think of the people I worked with and some fun memories but also the long hours that retail involves.

I did the top of my hutch different, the very rusty birdcage is a GW find for a dollar, the basket is from my brother-in-law’s mother’s estate sale, she used it for clothes pins. The ivy spray I also picked up at GW and it still had the price tag on it, the tin Santa my daughter bought me one year!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas, I wish you nothing but the best for the New Year, can you believe it is going to be 2011?
We are leaving Tuesday for Winston-Salem North Carolina, my step daughter is getting married on New Years Day and we won’t be back until Jan.2 so my next post will be next year! I hope all of you get what you wished for this Christmas but most of all Peace on Earth!!!

Your little teapots are so cute! I think I drooled a little bit on the picture of the basket. :)

Merry Christmas, Rondell!

I hope you have a safe trip to WS. We are just down the road and received several inches of snow and it is still coming down.

Debbie Mum has the cutest things. I remember Kaufmans well....When I lived in Buffalo there was a Kaufmans. I have always wanted to work in the cosmetic department. I should not give up that dream, it can still happen.
