Projects for 2010

Here are my favs for 2010, at first I wasn’t sure I had that many to show but find out I had more than I thought! I haven’t linked back to the original posts of them because it was just what I’m showing you now before and after photos and no tutorials.
This was my mom’s and I always had it covered in homespun and somehow it got put in the basement for a couple years.

I painted the legs white and and covered it with a pillowcase that I had found at an estate sale for a $1.00!

I had made my mom this umbrella stand in the 70’s when I took ceramic classes, it too has been in the basement until I started to see some white owls out in blogland.

So I spray painted it white and love how it turned out with my willow branches in it !

Found this bench at a yardsale for $15.00

Then turned into this with a couple coats of paint and covered the seat with fabric from JoAnn’s.

Stush made me this coffee table a couple years ago for Christmas…

I spraypainted it with Valsphar called Pebble and bought a piece of unfinished wood that I think you would use at a corner of a doorway or window and Gorilla glued it to cover of the star cutout.

 My corner cabinet!

That I painted white, seems like everything has got a coat of white, haven’t done any painting since the cold weather has set in but I’ll be ready to start again come spring!

We are leaving tomorrow for NC instead of today and will be back on Jan. 2
We had a great Christmas and my son and his girlfriend stayed with us plus a cute little house guest…Roonie (short for Art Roonie former owner of the Pittsburgh Steeler’s,) isn’t he cute? I just love his coloring, he is also Buster’s son. Tonight when I got home Stush told me Michael had called and as of that moment Roonie was being operated on, he had ate something and was so sick they took him to the vets and the x-ray showed that he had swallowed something big, Stush and I are thinking a toy of some kind. I hope he pulls thur Michael just loves him! I’m waiting to hear something, they had just left for Annapolis, MD yesterday!

And I remember most of these lovely projects. I bet we all have more than we thought. I linked up an older project, only because I am tired and lazy:) Happy New year.

Rondell,,, nice to see all your projects from 2010... thanks for your visit to my blog today also... you have what I had.. ugly yellow 80's counter tops, don't be afraid to paint them with the proper paint.. amazing to say the least when we just don't want to spend a thousand dollars on new... good luck! I'll be back to read more,..
Happy New year

Hi Rondell...

What a dramatic change painting that corner cabinet white. It totally brightened and opened that space up....

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I look forward to getting to know you...

Take care,
Lisa

You've been busy this year! Wow! I love all that you've done. Ceramics are not easy to paint, well for the paint to adhere. I did a pitcher and it's worked so far, but the inside bits are peeling. :) Love your little owl, it's too cute. And I love how you covered the star cut outs on your coffee table. Clever girl. xoxo tami

Oh, and how clever to hide the stars on the coffee table. I've done that with a few shelves that had hearts on them. Nothing against hearts...lol, but you know.

Be well!
