My Sister and Spring!

We had wonderful news today concerning my sister Judy, she had the cauterization this morning at 7:30 and the results were amazing…mild blockage and they are going to try medication, she is probably home by now. Yesterday I told her that there were people all over the country praying for her, she doesn’t do computers, so it was really something for her to hear, she couldn’t believe it and asked how, well, I told her “my blog”. I talked on the phone with her at about 2:30 pm today and she said “ I told them downstairs (where they did the cauterization), that my sister has everyone praying for me from her blog.” So you see ladies you meant so much to her, I thank each and everyone of you with all my heart for praying, just those tiny seconds that you took to do this turned it into a miracle and I give all the glory to God!  I’m so happy now but over the weekend I was a wreck just couldn’t concentrate on anything but today is different and spring is in the air but just in the house… outside snow is melting from snow we got Saturday! I really hope that was the last snow of the winter:) Here are a few photos that I just took…
In a corner of the livingroom on my desk…

Corner of the diningroom!

In the corner of my kitchen counter! Shabby tin with greenery and cow creamer are from GW.
P3070367
In the entryway! The vase and milk glass dish is a GW find!
P3070356
I put my stone heart with the arrangement.
P3070357
My mantel, the ceramic, white candlesticks are from GW!
P3070358
Yes, that’s a cottage white paint sample taped there, I’m trying to see if I should paint the mantel:) Also the pot with the greenery is from GW and the birds or doves I can’t figure out what type of bird they are.LOL
P3070359
On the hearth! I found the Santa Clara Prune box not to long ago at the flea market!
P3070362
Here is something new I picked up at Marshall’s, love it and I’m thinking of putting something spring in it but I sure do have to get rid of those pinecones now:)
P3070360
I know I’ve showed this before but what Mr. K said cracked me up, he thought it was a dress!!! Priceless!

Again thank you and I hope you are having a wonderful evening wherever you are!

Hi Rondell...

So happy to hear the great news about your sister, my friend! God is sooo good to us and always faithful to hear the prayers of his people! I will be praying for your sister's continued healing!

Well dear lady, you certainly have some pretty spring going on over at your place! I just loved getting a peek at all of your pretty vignettes! By the way...I love that little lampshade that you have on the lamp on your kitchen counter...sooo cute! Sooo...you are contemplating whether to paint your mantel or not? I think it would look fabulous done up in that pretty creamy white! It would really stand out then! Best wishes on your design decisions! And...thank you so much for sharing all of your beautiful spring vignettes with us...this was such a sweet treat, my friend!

Warmest wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design

Rondell, I am so happy about your sister! Blog land is wonderful...but it is just a computer world..and real sisters are to be treasured forever....that is when blogs take second place...or third or fourth. Love all your flowers and it is starting to look a lot like Spring at your house. As for me...we have a snow storm on the way...YAAAAHHH...(sarcasm at its best) Hugs-diana

So happyt to hear the good news about your sister.
I got a lantern at Marshall's on Saturday...it is the same color as yours, but a different shape. There had the one you got there too and I had a hard time deciding which one I wanted. Going to post about mine later tonight or tomorrow.
Love all your Spring touches!!

so glad to hear your sister is doing ok, thank goodness.

your mantle looks great, and i think painting would be a good idea-it would definitley become a feature and a focus, as well as brighten up the space. besides, if you didn't like it, you could always paint it darker or strip the paint off!

Glad your sister is doing better. Really love your spring vignette with the flowers. If you are taking votes, I'd paint the mantel. It would show up better white against the dark brick.

Rondell - I read about your sister, and I'm so glad she's doing better. My sister is 17 years older than me and we're close, too.

I love your prune box!! And the hydrangea (sp?) you used! Funny - That is the flower I want to put in my box, too!!

I hope you have a great day, today, and thank you for stopping by my blog yesterday!! We have similar tastes!! How cool is that?

Hugs ~~ Suz
