I Have Never Painted So Much!

I know I’ve said this before but getting ready for a wedding/picnic at your home is just amazing, you do one thing and that leads to another plus things that should have been done in the early spring that you let go because you knew you were having a wedding/picnic in July… you let go…now were scrambling and we are also sooooooooooo tired!
Here are a few of things I’ve done…
P6090925
I’ve painted every birdhouse I’ve had for years white also did the bench you see it sitting on, I bought it at a yardsale for &10.00. It’s very heavy and a nice size bench and as you can see it was painted dark brown. That’s the nest that was in my wreath on the porch!
Here it is now, spray painted a lime green that I found in the oops paint section for $1.50, then I had almost a full can of Pistachio paint and did that over top! The hens, as I call them were from GW and had string on them to hang, I used them that way last year, but the strings broke and I thought they would look pretty this way. I spray painted them a flat white and planted some pink impatients in them, they turned out really cute!

I didn’t do these, Mr.K surprised me by doing both of them while I went shopping with my bff Friday. I dreaded doing them because they were wood and varnished and just plain out of date looking, I’m happy with how they look… so cottagey!
P7021031
I also moved some furniture around, I moved the bench from this corner and put my washstand here instead, the one with the ribbon handles, like it so much better! The purple flowers I found at Gabe’s and the basket at Tuesday Mornings! See the old bottle there next to the flowers? I found the neatest thing at Marshall’s Friday!
P7021028
You can use it on bottles for a candle holder or tea light, the candle would have to be a bigger one than we are used to though, here I’ll show you…see how it fits right down in the bottle? It cost $5.99 but I think it was worth it! I think old bottles look neat with candles in them don’t you? They would be great with wine bottles or bottles with the wicker around them too!
P7021022
Here’s what it looks like by it’s self!
P7021023
Right now I have a tea light in it but will have to look for bigger candles! Neat huh?
P7021021
Oh, almost forgot, here is the basket with a metal label on it that says in French Fleurs and cost only $6.99!
P7021025
Well, I’ll be showing more painting projects in the next couple days, hope you will all come back soon! In the mean time I’ll be joining these great parties listed below:)

Rondell,
I love your bench painted green! And the little birds with the flowers in them...so pretty!
Love the washstand in the corner... it looks great there!
I wonder if the Marshall's near me has the candle holder that fits into a bottle...that is so cool!
Have a great week.

You have LOTS of pretties in this post. I think the candle holder is a brilliant idea! The color you painted your bench is my very favorite shade of green!

Gorgeous green bench! I like all your birdhouses, too.
That candleholder is so smart~you can change the look any time you want!

Rondell, things are coming together so beautifully! I'm sorry you're working nonstop but sometimes that's the way things get done. After the wedding you'll be able to relax & enjoy all of your hard work!

Rondell, You are getting a lot done! I love that green table that you painted. It is beautiful!! And I had one of those bird planters back in the 70's. The original ones had knotted macrame hangers...they look so much better the way you have them!

Love that bottle stopper that is a candle holder. How clever is that! xo Diana

Yes, but you are getting so good at painting now! LOL! I love the green bench and that was very sweet of your Mr. to paint the picnic table for you! I've seen those bottle candle holders before but I don't think I've seen ones for votives only candlesticks. Very cool!
