I know I don’t craft a lot just seems like I never have the time or when I do I’m just not in the mood or I don’t have enough supplies on hand. I blog hop a lot because I love seeing what everyone is doing like crafting or decorating especially decorating! Sometime last month I stopped by Naptime Decorator Liz had made the cutest vase out of sisal and I thought “I can do that” so I bought the sisal at Lowes and the vase at, where else The Dollar Tree, I already had the glue gun and sticks! Both sat on my kitchen bar till yesterday, I decided to do it because I was sick of looking at the supplies all the time and not feeling productive every time I walked by. You know what though? After I was done I felt terrific, like hey, I made this? Know the feeling?

Looks very Pottery Barnish too me! I have it right by the kitchen sink, I saw that idea on Pinterest!

Rondell, I love it and I'm sooo jealous that I didn't get to make this first (but I'm totally gonna steal the idea someday!) My favorite part is the texture mix, between the rope and the delicate petals of the faux Hydrangea.
So elegant! This looks like something I might be able to do!

What a lovely job you have done. I have seen these for sale and they are expensive, it just goes to show that we should be more creative as we don't need to spend lot's of money sometimes to create something just as good if not better, ourselves.

That is such a great craft for the summer time! I'm not very crafty, so I like to see things that even I could do. Ha! Your flowers now have a pretty textured vase for the summer.

Love the look of that! I've used twine to cover wine bottles but I love that sisal! I must try it!
Ok, so don't laugh but I didn't know you could buy sisal at Lowes! I can think of a lot of things I would like to use it for - including making a cute vase like this! I'm sure that not knowing where to buy it was totally holding me back!!!
I have some craft stuff taunting me every time I walk by the counter too! Maybe tomorrow....
