My Christmas Tree This Year!

My tree from last year! To big and I had to put the lights on.

As I’ve said before this style changing can be expensive…the day after Thanksgiving Mr. K and I went shopping for a prelit tree after going to Home Depot for the 99.00 advertised tree, which was all sold out, we went on to Lowes, Target and Walmart. The tree from Walmart came home with us and can I say “I love it”! No more putting lights on the tree…just set it up and start decorating:) I did it all in silver and all except for the bow and garland which I bought at Big Lots, are from the Dollar Tree. The most expensive thing I bought was the white, velvet tree skirt for $25.00, which I think Mr. K almost chocked when he paid for it.LOL In the picture below I had just finished decorating it

The middle and my chandy ornament from Macy’s, I looked on my receipt and it looks like I paid $7.49 for it on sale yikes!!! Oh well, I love it!

The bottom!

The skirt is quilted around the border and the boxes and ribbon are from the Dollar Tree.

I hung my tarnished silver tray behind the tree but I don’t know if I’ll leave it there or not, it does look pretty at night when the tree is lit.

Can you believe I’ve already been to see Santa? Sydney is growing so fast…9 years old already!

Samantha believes with all her 5 year old heart:)

Two little angels, although their mother disagrees sometimes:) To me they can do no wrong and that’s the way it should be for grammy’s. They had their dangly Christmas earrings on too!

I’ll be linking to Kim’s Boring and After Party and also Kath’s Faded Charm White Wednesday, have a great evening everyone!

Tree looks lovely. I know you're enjoying it! I really like the table runner in your header. Is it crochet? Thanks for visiting today at Buttermilk Cottage. Hope you'll come back often.

Oh, what a beautiful tree. It looks totally fabulous, and that tree skirt is perfect. Okay, you splurged on that...but it is SO worth it. Besides, it's not like you will need to buy another one for, what, 30 years? They have a way of lasting a long time.

The chandelier ornament is perfect. I love it.

Thank you for sharing!!

Blessings,
Patti

Love your chandy ornaments...so fancy! And I love how you did your tree topper with the ribbons coming down. Our tree is old as dirt, but I'm too cheap to replace it...so I just cover it with as much stuff as possible in hopes of disguising it's pitifulness. :)

Happy weekend!

I think both trees were pretty but I am like you, I went out and bought one with lights on it. I didn't get it on sale because I had to buy it for this Christmas but I hope I like the tall skinny tree. We have had a big full one for years.

I like your $7.50 ornament too:)

Hi Rondell,
Don't you just love those pre-lit trees? I love, love, love mine! So easy to put up. Yours, all in silver looks absolutely beautiful. Oh, and just love your chandy ornament. Have a wonderful new week.

Hugs and Kisses,

Your tree is beautiful. I am always a little jealous of my friend when she pulls her artificial tree from the attic and flips on the lights with a remote. Putting the lights on is the hardest part.
