New Chair from Target

Hi everyone! So hot here today, I was off from work/kids today so I got to sleep in a little!
Edited: This morning is gray and raining! What a switch in the weather huh?
Do you like to shop at Target? I do and I’ve had my eye on this brown leather chair for awhile, in the Sunday paper I saw it was on sale for $150.00 down from $199.00… then if I used my card I got 5% off too! So I bought it and love it, only thing with the floors I find that it scoots back where it shouldn’t be, any suggestions?

A lot of light in my livingroom today, in fact to much, it’s usually to dark or to light never a happy medium! I’m looking for new stands one for the end of the couch and one for between the chairs. I have to realize though that I have to take baby steps and use things from other rooms and that sometimes life gets in the way.
The birdcage pillow is from Marshall’s, I don’t think I showed you… it’s big and fluffy.!

002
Here’s one that shows the fireplace, painted white, and a little of the PB coffee table. It’s starting to take shape now little by little.
004
I did make a change in the diningroom by adding the bench that I found at a yardsale a couple years ago.
003
I’ve also discovered Chip it, it is so neat, I loaded up a picture of my livingroom and it gave me paint chip colors that I should use in that room…try it, I think you will really like it!
Thanks so much for stopping by and for your sweet comments, sorry I haven’t answered your comments yet… I had company last week, now more tonight, it’s been crazy around here!

I love the new Target leather chair. My couch kept slipping on the floor, so I found some little rubber feet pads at Home Depot that stick on the bottoms to help prevent slipping. No hammer required, ha ha. I also love the white bench seatee in your dining room :)

Hey Lady! Thank you so much for yourt sweet comments. I am so looking forward to reading a book in that hammock soon when the weather cools down more and I get the time. I love that you totally understand and get it!!! Your new chair is fantastic and I have just the solution for you. You need one of those little rubber things to go under the legs to keep it from scooting back. We have hardwoods everywhere and have them on almost all the furniture in the den. You can find them in packs of four or more at Home Depot or Lowes. They are sold in squares or circles in different sizes and are usually brown to blend into the floor. They are basically little rubber stoppers I guess you would say. They don't stick to your furniture but your furniture legs are sitting on top of them. I would be happy to send you a picture of them if you need it. They are very inexpensive but work perfectly. I love the bench at the table! It's a wonderful look! Hope you have a great week!

Rondell- It looks great. I love your new chair- what a buy. I have chairs that "slip", too. I bought a roll of that waffly-looking rubbermaid stuff they use in cabinets under glass ware. I cut it into a strip just big enough to fit under the feet. It won't move and it won't mess up your floor either. You know what I mean- it looks like a waffle/open weave design. You have done a great job there. I have never heard of the ChipIt thing- where have I been? Blessings and I hope you have a great night- xo Diana

Hi Rondell,
Love your new chair from Target. My girls and I love shopping at Target.
Love your bird pillow too. I saw that at our Marshall's the other day. I'm looking for new pillows for my sofa.
Your bench looks great at your dining room table.
I know what you mean about taking baby steps with redecorating our homes. I've been trying to reuse items that I already have...painting some of them a different color has helped. I keep telling myself to take my time and enjoy the journey of redecorating my home.
hugs,
Cindy

Loving the new chair Rondell. I too LOVE Target. In fact, I avoid going there as often because I love it so much. Hope you are enjoying your Summer.

I love the look of your rooms. The chair is great. You could put some small pads made from the woven spongy shelf paper under the legs of the chair. it's like a rug grip. That might help the chair stay put. Smiles, Susie

That's a great chair! Can you glue little pieces of those non stick appliques people use in their bathtubs to the bottoms of the legs to keep it from sliding? I'm not sure if it would work or not, but it might.
