It’s the Little Things

I mentioned in my last post that I was going to show you something I made, just a little craft but I think it’s the little things that make a home don’t you? I had a few of these tags that I ordered off of Etsy a couple years ago and after looking at the baskets there I decided to paint the tags with chalkboard paint and tie them on!
P2052277
They were just to blah for me!
P2032219
I couldn’t decide what to write on them so I went with the alphabet since my canisters on the counter have 1 2 3 on them.
P2052270
My youngest son was here and I asked him what I should write on them and he looked at me and said “ridiculous” so much for his opinion…men!
P2052269
I would like to get taller baskets for here but so far I haven’t found any I like or maybe some wire ones would do.P2052268
Such a little thing to do but had a major impact I think.

While I’m showing you my kitchen I’d like to show you what makes life a little easier for me, my new Oyster 4 slice toaster even has a setting where you can warm up your toast you have already toasted!

My youngest son bought me this brew station for Christmas and I love it, it’s my last gift from him at Best Buy, after 12 years with the company he left and is now a manager at a bank, I’m happy for him, I think the grueling retail schedule finally got to him, realizing that he needed his life back.

Well   it’s Super Bowl Sunday and although I’m a Steeler fan I’d like to see the Giants win this one, were having wings tonight! Are you celebrating the game tonight? I’ll mostly be watching the commercials. LOL

I like the added tags. They probably add more that stenciling would have. Lucky your son got that banking job. My husband is a banker and he has to keep downsizing due to the economy.

My friend just took the doors off her cabinet too! I like that look, and I like your baskets. I'd probably have them filled with cookbooks or something. The tags are a nice touch!

Love your little tags. So cute. I have the same toaster, except mine is a two-slicer. Wish I had the four-slicer!

I love the tags...very cute and add a lot to the baskets. Have you thought of stacking them to give it some height? Just a thought!

Rondell, those little tags look great on your baskets. Wire baskets would look great as well. Have a wonderful day, Gail

Those tags are great! Don't you love when something small like that makes such a big difference?

I did have to giggle at your son's comment. I swear those words would have come out of my husband's mouth if I asked him the same question! lol
