French Linen on my Table Legs

The sun is shining in on my newly painted table legs and the apron part of it, I used two coats of the AS Chalkpaint…so easy to do I must say. I’ve never seen paint perform like this one does, doesn’t drip off the brush like your regular latex paint believe me I’m completely sold on this stuff!

I know I’m a messy painter, I think I just want to see the results so much that I forget to do things that you should!
I can’t believe how this small jar ( not the color I used but I had thrown it away after scraping it clean)lol…has did so many projects, I just had a little bit left and it did the table in two coats, amazing!

I used Paris Grey on the bench and French Linen on the table, Paris Grey is a pale shade of gray as you can see.

I wish I could stain the top darker but it from the 70’s or early 80’s and I guess it’s Formica, does anyone know if you can stain Formica? I’d like to do a walnut stain which I already have.

I tried a setting on my camera that blurs the background and it worked!

Brought my chair in( that I found in the garbage from along side of the road years ago) from the porch, we have been busy putting things away for the winter from out there amazing how you don’t know how much you put out for summer.

Your table looks so pretty, Rondell.

Isn't it crazy having to put everything away for the winter? We almost run out of places to store things!

Your table and bench turned out great!! I've been wanting to try Anne Sloans paints. I have an old wood trunk that I want to use it on...just can't decide on what color to get.

Hi Rondell! I am back from my blogging break. I have missed all your projects! I love the way your table turned out. The paint really does go a long way, doesn't it? I hope you have a blessed, wonderful Sunday- xo Diana

That looks great! I always forget about those little pots of paint. That is a good way to "sample" these paints without the extra cost of the larger can. I'm completely out of my chalk paint now. Guess I'll buy some more next time I'm ready for a paint project. I recently painted a small table using a different brand (very cheap) and I can vouch for the quality of chalk paint after using the cheaper paint! I don't know if you can stain formica. I don't have much experience with staining wood. I would google it and see what you find. Isn't that the answer to everything these days? Ha!

You did a great job! It looks lovely.

I don't think you can stain Formica, but you can paint it! You could use more ASCP on it, I'm sure!

Just google "painting laminate"--Formica is a brand of laminate, just like kitchen counters are made of. It may be that your tabletop is just wood with lots of sealer on it; if so, perhaps you could strip it and stain it. Good luck!
