Saturday, Stush and I went to my son’s (Nick’s) church sale, Oh, they had Halupki, Helushski and Pedrogi also Kabassi and sauerkraut, if you are or are from around Pittsburgh you know what I mean!It strikes a cord in your heart that you thought was long buried and forgotten! I’m part Russian and Stush is Polish so the ethnic food is part of our lives and so much a part of our holidays! Which would not be the same without the food that has been handed down from generation to generation! Have you ever tried Polish lasagna ? One day when Stush makes it I’ll have to share you the recipe.
The neatest thing at Nick’s church every year is an indoor fleamarket, love church sales, their prices can’t be beat! Here’s what I found:
Two wicker trays for $3.00 people! Look how neat they are! I have no idea what I’m going to do with them… probably slap some AS Chalkpaint on them!
Aren’t they cute? Four little appetizer plates, 4 for $1.00 and dishwasher safe too!
Look at this basket, huge and only $5.00! I know I’ll be painting it with some chalkpaint soon! They had a lot of great things for sale but I guess it’s all about what you want or need right?
What about you have you found some neat things this past weekend? Better hurry up because I’m pretty sure this weekend will be the last warm one to scout those last yardsales and fleamarkets!
I’ll be joining these parties:
Wow Us Wednesday @ Savvy Southern Style
Open House Party @ No Minimalist Here
Treasure Hunt Thursday @ From My Front Porch to Yours
Thank you so much for stopping by, I truly love your comments, they make me smile!

great finds - I LOVE those baskets!!
Hi there....remember me...I lost track of you...but I found you again! I am full blooded Ukrainian...so I recognize all of those items...same things I make just a little different pronounciation!! Come on over and say hi!!!!
Where do you live? I'd love to find goodies like you did. Those white wicker trays are incredible, my mind already thinking of ways to use them. I love things like that cause they are so versatile if you do any decorating. And your little plates and that big basket, sigh, I'm drooling.
We live out in country and with gas what it is we miss alot of yard sales and any other kinds going on. Most of them are in Grand Junction so we miss alot. The good sales always seem to be before our SS payday doggone it. It always bothers me thinking of the treasures I"m missing out on, lol.
You found some really nice things. I haven't been to a yard sale or flea market in ages. We had a few in the neighborhood yesterday, but I didn't stop. Glad you enjoyed your time at the church sale. Enjoy your goodies.
