Will Start With Christmas 2009

Hello all! A wonderful thing this morning…the sun is shining, we haven’t seen the sun in over a week, my thoughts and prayers are with those in NYC and NJ, I surely hope the sun is shining there too!
I thought you would like to see how I decorated my home in Christmas past , some of you are new here to my blog and well, I thought maybe you would like to see how I’ve changed. I just can’t believe Christmas is next month, can you?
This is Christmas 2009
A lot of pictures but we all like pictures right?
The mantel is painted blue, and really I still have everything you see there. lol The thought of going thur Christmas decorations to sell what I don’t want is daunting!
I was into a more primitive look back then and an older camera too as you can tell. lol!
Old ironing board!
Look at the popcorn garland…I spent so much money on it, then right after, I changed my style of decorating, please, tell  me I’m not the only one to do this?
Prairie bonnets!
Dry sink I have in the basement now. I made the doll you see there, yes I can sew just don’t like to!
The bathroom, sometimes I do miss the days of decorating like this, I got everything just the way I wanted it, then one day I woke up and knew that a change was needed!
Bedroom…boy, these pictures do make me appreciate my camera now!
Hamm, why was I dissatisfied? I think that’s the only picture I have of the oak
Okay now, let’s fast forward to 2010.
Mantel…found the wreath in the container at GW.
The hutch was oak, love, love it white!
Love♥ Can’t wait to see some twinkling lights! PC041737
Cabinets are white, thank goodness!  We now have an up to date ceiling fan, new light over the sink, new counters and now have wire baskets where the zebra ones are…what was I thinking with the zebra? lol.
I like looking at these pictures, it shows me what I have and not to buy another ornament, as if that’s going to happen!
I do need more of this ribbon though.
No prairie bonnets here!
Aww, now I sort of like this but the washstand is now in the diningroom! I think I’ll move the bed back on this wall.
Yes, I’ve went thur some different styles:)
The bathroom now!
bathroom 013
bathroom 007
Living room now.
I hope you enjoyed my little tour of Christmas past, fun to do but very time consuming but I think you deserve it:)
I’ll be joining these parties:
Wow Us Wednesday
Show and Tell Friday
Feathered Nest Friday
Feature Friday Free for All
Feature Yourself Friday
Flaunt it Friday
Link Up With Me, Liz Marie
Fridays Unfolded
Home Sweet Home
Thanks so much for stopping by, now I must leave to go shopping!

Rondell- I had that style, too, at one time in my life. Isn't it funny how we evolve and change? I love your new updated look-it is clean and fresh looking.

I am sorting through my ornaments this year, too, and the kids have first pick...we are making a day out of it- xo Diana

I love how it looks now. It looks like you had a darker colorscheme in years past and alot of primitive style accessories. I cringe whenever I look back at my old decor. Sometimes I like what I see, but mostly am glad that it changed. I guess we're all that way. I think white paint is your new best friend (mine too)! ha!

Hi Rondell,
I remember visiting your blog when you decorated with primitives. I was always a little more prim than primitive with my decorating back then. But I realized that it was not the style for me...I found that I was drooling over photos of farmhouse style and vintage cottage style. So I decided to follow my heart and make the change too.
Love your new style!! Your home looks so warm, inviting, and cozy.
Have a great weekend.

Wow, you really have made some major changes. I was never into that whole country look, although I really did think it was a sweet look.

I love your white hutch! You made me laugh about not buying another ornament...I have that problem too. Thank you for sharing. Would love it if you would share this at my Make it Pretty Monday party at The Dedicated House which goes live at 8am CST on Monday. Hope to see you at the bash! Toodles, Kathryn @TheDedicatedHouse

I love the new look. I'm trying to figure out what it is I want to change to. One day I said the same thing love my prim/country look but tied of the dark colors. Once I find the sofa I like I will take it from there. Thanks for sharing your pictures and ideas!

It's always fun to look back & see how our styles have changed over the years. Sometimes I look back & wonder what I was thinking. Sometimes I look back & think how nice it everything looked! lol

Your prim home was one of my faves. Still look through your old blog now and again.
