Will Start With Christmas 2009

Hello all! A wonderful thing this morning…the sun is shining, we haven’t seen the sun in over a week, my thoughts and prayers are with those in NYC and NJ, I surely hope the sun is shining there too!
I thought you would like to see how I decorated my home in Christmas past , some of you are new here to my blog and well, I thought maybe you would like to see how I’ve changed. I just can’t believe Christmas is next month, can you?
This is Christmas 2009
A lot of pictures but we all like pictures right?
The mantel is painted blue, and really I still have everything you see there. lol The thought of going thur Christmas decorations to sell what I don’t want is daunting!

The bathroom, sometimes I do miss the days of decorating like this, I got everything just the way I wanted it, then one day I woke up and knew that a change was needed!

Bedroom…boy, these pictures do make me appreciate my camera now!

Hamm, why was I dissatisfied? I think that’s the only picture I have of the oak cabinets.lol

Rondell- I had that style, too, at one time in my life. Isn't it funny how we evolve and change? I love your new updated look-it is clean and fresh looking.

I am sorting through my ornaments this year, too, and the kids have first pick...we are making a day out of it- xo Diana

I love how it looks now. It looks like you had a darker colorscheme in years past and alot of primitive style accessories. I cringe whenever I look back at my old decor. Sometimes I like what I see, but mostly am glad that it changed. I guess we're all that way. I think white paint is your new best friend (mine too)! ha!

Hi Rondell,
I remember visiting your blog when you decorated with primitives. I was always a little more prim than primitive with my decorating back then. But I realized that it was not the style for me...I found that I was drooling over photos of farmhouse style and vintage cottage style. So I decided to follow my heart and make the change too.
Love your new style!! Your home looks so warm, inviting, and cozy.
Have a great weekend.

Wow, you really have made some major changes. I was never into that whole country look, although I really did think it was a sweet look.

I love the new look. I'm trying to figure out what it is I want to change to. One day I said the same thing love my prim/country look but tied of the dark colors. Once I find the sofa I like I will take it from there. Thanks for sharing your pictures and ideas!
